Israel Orders Rafah Evacuation Ahead of Military Operation

The Israeli army has warned 'all residents and displaced people' to leave the eastern neighbourhoods of Rafah. It says they must move to the al-Mawasi area, near the coastline. That's ahead of what it says will be the use of 'extreme force' in the eastern part of the city.

More than one and a half million people have been sheltering in Rafah, after the Israeli Army forced them out of northern and central Gaza.

Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud has the latest from Rafah in southern Gaza and Zein Basravi is on the phone from Ramallah, in the Occupied West Bank.
