Mariam's (AS) Trial: The Real Purpose of Du'aa

In this short khutbah snippet, Nouman Ali Khan explains the concept and reality of du'aa by sharing the story of a unique individual frequently mentioned in the Quran i.e. Mariam (AS).

He clarifies the misconception that du'aa is meant to make our lives easier or turn our world into paradise. He also clarifies that when we make duaa, Allah will immediately solve our problem, otherwise He is not happy with us.

If that were the case, then the prophets before us would not have faced hardships, nor would Mariam (AS), whose du'aas were accepted instantly, yet she still endured difficulties. He emphasizes that the true purpose of du'aa is to communicate with Allah and to bring us closer to Him.
