Why the Muslim and Arab-American Vote Shifted Towards Trump


The city of Dearborn, which is located in the swing-state of Michigan, was home to one of the most closely-watched races in the US presidential election. After supporting Joe Biden in 2020, this Arab-majority city helped Donald Trump secure his presidential victory this week.

Many Muslim and Arab-American voters in Dearborn say anger over the Biden administration's support for Israel's destructive war in Gaza was key to their vote. President-elect Trump has capitalized on this anger.
