I am a proud Muslim, and I condemn all violence, be it against anybody, women, children, old, the infirm and the incapacitate. The history of the spread of Islam is never tarnished by violence, in fact renowned historians will gladly agree that during the warring years, the Islamic code on the treatment of prisoners of war is most civilised and hummane. ( refer to Professor Christopher G Weeramantry on International law ). Any legal academician from Oxford will also agree to that. ( See Professor Thomas Arnold book on Islam, the history of peaceful preaching ).

And I am glad that in Britain, Muslims are speaking out against violence by groups that marred the name of Islam, by claiming to fight for it's cause in justifying violence.

I am getting fed up with all these horrofying acts, bombing of cars, the usage of crude boms, all aim at civilians. These are not Islamic acts.

But at the same time, the world " powers that be " need to re-examine themselves too, what actually breed all these violence here. The strangulation of , Muslim countries, the suppression of the imposition of the Islamic system by the " puppet rulers " who would gladly perform favours for their masters, the denial of a truly dignified rule by Palestinians, the continous living in refugee camps, aren't these not to be pondered as well ?

I have studied in the UK, I had lived there for the many good years of my academic quest and I had tasted the hospitality of the British people, I have many friends among the Britts, and I knew how fair minded there are.

Whatever violence it is against their civilians and the decent ordinary people, then I must be quick to condemn those barbarities. I ask British Muslims not only to be better Muslims but to be united in condemning and preventing future violence in the country.

Whether there is a governing body controlling all of the acts or splinter groups deciding to carry out their own individual attacks, does not detract tfrom the fact that Muslims are being placed in the forefront as evil people. I beleive there is a lot of hype regarding the infrastructure of AlQaida but the end result is they are being used as the reason for Christians to distrust Muslims.
