Quran - The New world that awaits you

As you come to the Qur'an, you come to a new world. No other venture in your life can be so momentous and crucial, so blissful and rewarding, as your journey to and through the Qur'an.

It is a journey that will take you through the endless joys and riches of the words that your Creator and Lord has sent to you and all mankind. Here you will find a world of untold treasures of knowledge and wisdom to guide you on the pathways of life, to mould your thoughts and actions. In it you will find deep insights to enrich you and steer you along the right course. From it you will receive a radiant light to illumine the deeper reaches of your soul. Here you will encounter profound emotions, a warmth to melt your heart and bring tears running down your cheeks.

It is crucial for you because, as you travel through the Qur'an, at every step you will be summoned to choose, and to commit to Allah. To read the Qur'an is nothing less than to live the Qur'an willingly, sincerely, devotedly, and totally. The outcome of your entire life depends on how you heed the call given by Allah. The journey is therefore decisive for your existence, for mankind, for the future of human civilization.

A hundred new worlds lie in its verses
Whole centuries are involved in its moments.
                                                    (Muhammad Iqbal, Javed Nama)

Know, then, that it is the Qur'an, and only the Qur'an, which can lead you on and on to success and glory in this world and in the world to come.

What is the Qur'an?

It is beyond man's power to comprehend, or to describe, the greatness and importance of what the Qur'an holds for him. Yet, to begin with, you must have some idea of what it is and what it means to you, and such that you are inspired to immerse the whole of yourself in the Qur'an, in total commitment, complete dedication and ceaseless pursuit, as it demands.

The Qur'an is Allah's greatest blessing or you. It is the fulfillment of His promise to Adam and his descendants: 'There shall come to you guidance from Me, and whatsoever follows My Guidance no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow' (al Baqarah 2:38). It is the only weapon for your frail existence as you struggle against the forces of evil and temptation in this world. It is the only means to overpower your fear and anxiety. It is the only 'light' (nur), as you grope in the darkness, with which to find your way to success and salvation. It is the only healing (shifa) for your inner sickness, as well as the social ills that may surround you .It is the constant reminder (dhikr) of your true nature and destiny, of your station, your duties, your rewards, your perils.

It was brought down by one who is powerful, and trustworthy in the heavens - the angel Jibrail. Its first abode was that pure and sublime heart, the like of which man has never had - the heart of the Prophet Muhammad, blessings and peace be on him.

More than anything, it is the only way to come nearer and closer to your Creator. It tells you of Him, of His attributes, of how He rules over the cosmos and history, of how He relates Himself to you, and how you should relate to Him, to yourself, to your fellow men and to every other existence.

The rewards that await you here are surely many, increasing manifold and the Hereafter, but what awaits you at the end of the road promises Allah in the Hadith qudsi, 'the eye has seen not, nor the ear heard, nor the heart of man ever conceived and, adds Abu Hurayra: read if you wish (in al-Sajdah 32:17): 'No human being can imagine what joys are being kept hidden for them in reward for all that they did' (Bukhari, Muslim)

One amazing uniqueness of the Holy Qur'an is that even if you don't understand Arabic, it has a way of touching your heart like nothing else does when you hear it recited by a Qaree or when you recite yourself. It has a way of bringing tranquility to your heart no matter how sorrowful you might have been and it has a way of keeping you from evil even if you don't get the warning in Arabic. May Allah (SWT) let the Qur'an be an evidence for us and not against us on the day of judgement.

This beatiful sentences about Holy Quran is absouletly true. Since the day I start reading its Meaning in English I can not hold myself stay away from it. The word of Quran can not be made by man 1400 years ago. The 30 Para explained so delicately the nature of Insan (human) , the ingridents of internal peace and wisdom of Almighty Allah . If any human read this magnificent book(regardless of their religious believe)he or she will be delighted and come to a scence of understanding the purpose of our birth and death in this world. This is the blessing of Allah to mankind . A unhappy milloniare, drug addicted Rock star, a miserable family man even a ruthless man will melted by understanding the meaning of Quaran and I can gurantee he or she will find a peace in their heart and love Allah's creature more than before. I enjoy reading Quran after Mid night when everything are quiet and I found a heavenly pleasure in my heart. Thanks to All mighty Allah who send this beautiful book of knowledge to Prophed Muhammad (p.u.h) who was assigned by Allah to spread this word among mankind.

I have always known about Islam. I am Muslim. But it is not until I have truly read the Qur'an and taken some lessons on the hadiths that I have made a conscious effort to incorporate God's great wisdom in my life. It is a revelation beyond anyone's wildest dreams, a revelation of love, compassion, humanity, gentleness, grace, forgiveness, beauty, and more, a revelation that imbues all our thoughts, acts, and feelings with positive energy. I wish the same experience for all those who take the time to read and understand, not to read to gain hassanat, but to read to come closer to God and His creation by applying honestly His gentle commands.

anyway, Joel, if you can go to the Quran http://islamicity.com/mosque/SURAI.HTM
right here on Islamicity.
if you can't do that, then pray for guidance and shelter from evil. and then decide whether or not it is worth it to you to take the long hike (assuming no one will drive you) to the nearest mosque. try to go on a friday- mid-day.
this is the most important time for Muslims to gather toghether to pray and to learn together.
-------------------------------------------------
oh, and a brief comment to you Jesus-worshipping Christians-
please stop hurling verses at us. most Muslims are well aware of your beliefs, they are in the Qur'an. being a former Christian, although i never worshipped Jesus (peace and blesssings of Allah swt be upon him), i must say that your utter disreguard for Muslim intellect is staggering. Seeing as how i cannot name a Christian that reads their Bible even once a day or even prays once a day, and i know quite a few.
please stop spitting out the phrases you've been taught to spit out and take a look at what's in your life...
look reaaaaaly close...
uh-huh... (you've got one HUGE plank in your eye)

MUSTAFA MANSUR FROM USA said:
a response to Tim and Joel-
Jesus was who he said he was, the prophetic son of man who accomplished great wonders by God's hand.
Look around at the Jesus-worshipping Christians.
there is a test in the Bible that is given to determine false prophets.
the test : look at the prophet's followers and to see if they are immoral and hypocritical overall. if so, then the prophet is false; true prophets have God-fearing followers do they not?

the fabricated version of Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah swt be upon the real one) that claims to be god incarnate is worshipped by about two billion oft-sinning (clearly not God-fearing) hypocrites, i should know i used to be one, although i rejected Christianity once i learned that i was old enough to begin learning why i was to worship a man as if he were god.
=Allah swt has given all his slaves an unwavering hatred of evil and the shaitan, and idolotry is the most disgusting sin in my opinion=

so i looked around breifly, Alhammdulillah, for those who followed in the real Jesus' footsteps.
i found Islam. I found the Qur'an, and by about midway through surah 5 ( if i remember correctly) i found the ayah saying something along the lines of '' In this book I have not eliminated a verse without substituting its better or its likeness '' i knew that was from God, the real God.
Back to the Biblical test - Muhammad and his followers (peace and blessings of Allah swt be upon him)are truly good God-fearing folk.
therefore, Muhammad was a true prophet... and i have found nothing but truthful support since.
Salams.

They themselves established the state through terror (look up Deer Yaseen, look up the Irgun and the Stern and other early terror Zionist gangs,) and continue to butcher them every day; the government/corporation-controlled media is sure to keep you in the dark, content and happy.

Christian Zionists, and you're probably one of them, turn a deaf ear and blind eye to what the Israelis do every day, and pledge unwavering allegiance to them as if when Jesus comes back he'll thank you all for supporting the very people who turned him over to the Romans. Boy, you're so gullible (here, I want you to be really saved: www.whtt.org.) What would Jesus do if he would watch these State terrorists do what they're best at every day? WWJD?

I read some of the comments and I felt really hurt by the agressive tone of a christian brother and the sarcasm of the one saying there were no jetfighters in our Prophets (sas) time...
In that time there was also nobody who knew that the stars and planets are still drifting apart after the initial 'big bang' - yet exactly that fact is being mentioned in the HOly Qur'an. Nobody in that time had the knwoledge to know about the development of a foetus in its mothers whomb, yet the Holy Qur'an discribes it in a manner that made a major obstitritian say "I wish I could use those terms in my profession" and "This discribes the foetal evolution exactly to the day".
If the author compares an experience described in the Holy Qur'an to one that we know today, what is there to critisize about?
The "Western" world pretends to be so developped and "pluralistic", "tolerant" ... Yet some of the critics they have about Islam are not even close to that... I am often ashamed of being European. But alhamdolillah, at least Allah (swt) had leas me into Islam!

When you think of a book 1400 years old and saying hundreds of things regarding natural phenomena, each and every of them scientifically correct down to the minute detail and most of them known only recently in human history, it sends a shiver down your spine. To imagine that an illiterate person in Muhammad(SW)could have written the Qur'an, which is a literary masterpiece, by himself dosen't hold water. Classical Arabic is the only language that has remained pure throughout the ages and so did the holy Qur'an. The Qur'an has lot of themes common to the Bible but none the discrepancies. The Bible (around 75 books) has been written by some 65 persons over about a thousand years and translated from Hebrew to Greek to Latin to English, not to mention the contradicting versions. In the Qur'an in Arabic, Allah sounds compassionate but in English translation he may seem angry. The beauty of Qur'an (for that matter anything of literary value)do not carry over in English (or any other language), but the Arabic in the Qur'an is exceptional. Anyone reading the Qur'an can't help notice the timeless beauty and eternal truth of it.

Aslamolakum Brothers & Sisters,

The Quran Is Something Way Beyond The Human Mind Can Think Of its a souce of guidence a hope of how to be a good person and souce of optimism a source of imagination of the next life answers all out questions about what is the meaning the purpose of life which many people know not. Its also so beautiful but many know how to read arabic but dont understand it which many people in my opinion turn away from Allah swt and the teachings of Muhammed pbuh i pray Allah swt forgives us all. Another miracle in the quran is that some things have been said like the defeated Roman army to whats in the heavens and earth and there still things to be discovered the mircales of the quran will never end till the day of Judgement. I would encouage any muslim or non-muslim to purchase a copy in their own language if they understand arabic thats fine but if they dont. I would recommend read 5 mins a night maybe 2 or 3 verses a night muslim or non-muslim. I could go on and on about the content of the quran keep comming great stories and a place to go something to do something to look forward to something to be happy about something to share with your friends and family and also non-muslims. If you asked a the normal muslim who has little faith ask them i maybe wrong may Allah swt forgive me what your opinion on the Quran? they say great great book then they dont know a story in it. You ask me 1 in a trillion they say here. Jazakullaker!

The Quran as I see it is The Book of Hope for mankind which everyone should read and memorize, it is the solution to the problems happening in the world today. If we want Allah (SWT) to bless this world we have to live by the teachings of the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Sunnah.
