This silent film by G. Krugers is a rare personal documentary of a pilgrimage in 1928 from Indonesia (then the Dutch East Indies) to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

Krugers' commentary in texts on screen gives the documentary a direct appeal. It is reflection of the rich and shared cultural heritage of the Netherlands, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

To make this unique film accessible to English-speaking audiences, the written texts has been translated.
