The Quran says that it can remove all human differences and conflicts if humans were to follow its divine laws. Muslims have created so many differences and they fight amongst themselves and waste their energy at every front – social, political, economic, religious, cultural, etc.

Many governments try to remove some of these differences but nothing happens. All their efforts and capital goes to waste. The Quran says that if you want to remove differences then listen to me and follow what Allah says:

وَمَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ مِن شَيْءٍ فَحُكْمُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ

(42:10) – AND ON WHATEVER you may differ, [O believers,] the verdict thereon rests with God. [Say, therefore:] “Such is God, my Sustainer: in Him have I placed my trust, and unto Him do I always turn!”

It is possible that you may disagree with one another due to various reasons, attitudes or differences in personalities. The proper way to settle differences is to decide all matters in accordance with Allah's Law which is the final authority for everyone (4:59). This is from the Allah, the Almighty Sustainer. Place your trust in Him and always refer to His Laws.

The barrier to remove differences is our self-interest

The Question is: why don’t we remove our differences according to what Allah says here? Why don’t we come to the Quran? We don’t do it because it affects our self-interests; because it shuts all our professions and occupations that we have created out of these differences. Allah guarantees that Quran will remove all our differences.

Religionists will never come to the Quran because they do not want to leave their sectarianism. Political differences are ephemeral. Political parties are secular; they come and go. But religious sects, once they come into existence, become entrenched among the people; and perpetuate themselves by using the names of Allah and the Prophet (PBUH). The Quran has declared differences to be divine chastisement.

It has declared them to be Shirk and therefore the followers of religious sects are Mushriks (30:31-32). The religious sects will do everything but will never come to the Quran. All religious sects claim to follow the Quran, but the differences remain. That means they prove by their practice that Quran’s claim, May God forgive, is false! But the Quran’s claim is true that if you come to the Quran then it will erase all your differences.

So, the only conclusion is that these sectarian religionists really don’t want to come to the Quran. They fool people that they are with the Quran by their rhetoric, and they keep using Allah’s name and the Prophet’s (PBUH) name for whatever they do to maintain their sectarianism.

The Quran says: فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ
وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ

(42:11) – The Originator [is He] of the heavens and the earth. He has given you mates of your own kind just as [He has willed that] among the beasts [there be] mates - to multiply you thereby: [but] there is nothing like unto Him, and He alone is all-hearing, all-seeing.

Allah created the universe from nothingness. He has also made, from your kind, mates for you. They become your companions. Likewise, He has made pairs of cattle. He has thus arranged for the increase in your progeny. There cannot be any one else like Him who can do all this. There is nothing like Him. He is all-hearing, all-seeing.

We hear that Allah created the universe from nothingness, but when we think about it logically then we can’t understand how this could have happened. All the top scientists get perplexed and become awed as to how something could be created out of nothing. They focus on cause and effect and they know that for every effect there is a cause behind it. But when they reach the end of the chain of cause-and-effect they are puzzled as to how something can come into existence from nothingness.

Humans are accustomed to forming concept about things in their minds. The Quran clearly says here that what to say knowing what Allah is, even no example of Him can be given. Allah’s essence is beyond human conception. But we can understand Allah’s attributes that He has given in the Quran. Two of His attributes are mentioned here: وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ (42:11) – He is all- hearing, all-seeing.

A finite mind cannot know or form any concept of the essence or personality of an infinite Being. The Quran says: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (23:91) – Limitless in His glory is Allah, far above anything that humans may devise by way of definition. Allah is saying this but our Sufis say that what to say of forming concept of him, we even meet him and talk to him every night.

This is nothing but self-deception. Therefore, all of Sufis claim is based on their own mental imagery and therefore it is their own subconscious design and self-delusion. Our religionists even make Allah sit on a physical throne that is being carried on the horns of mountain goats who are standing in an ocean.

How ridiculous our spiritualists and religionists have made the concept of Allah; when, in fact, Allah says that no human being can comprehend Him or no example can be given about Him! But: وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ (42:11) – He is all-hearing, all-seeing.

How does He hear and sees we cannot understand? A finite mind cannot understand how an infinite Being hears and sees. Allah says in the Quran that He is there wherever humans are (57:4); that He is closer to humans than their jugular vein (50:16). We have to have Iman on everything what Allah says in the Quran. We just have to have Iman in Him about what Allah says in the Quran about Himself and stay away from conjecturing.

The only connection we could have with Allah is through His Book, the Quran. Allah talks to us only through the Quran. Allah has said about his Book كَلاَمَ اللّهِ - Kalamullah (2:75). There is no other way to establish relationship with Allah. There is no need to get into metaphysical discussions about existence of God. These will be all subjective arguments.

We will have to have just Iman in Allah; and our connection with him will only be through His Book, the Quran.

There can’t be any direct connection of any human with Allah. The connection of divine messengers with Allah was unique and exclusive to them. After the end of finality of Prophethood there cannot be any connection with Allah except through His Book.

Difference between Momin and Kafir

As far as conquering the forces of Nature is concerned, there is no difference between Momin and Kafir. After conquering the forces of Nature, comes the difference between Momin and Kafir according to how they spend the Accrued Benefits. Momin spends them according to the guidelines what Allah has established in the Quran.

Kafir spends for his own goals based on his selfish interest which causes chaos and turmoil in the world as we see now. The world superpowers are competing against each other politically, economically and militarily. They want to gain superiority in the world by developing advanced technology and sophisticated weaponry. This has caused havoc and suffering in the world. And world powers are so suspicious of each that their leaders are always under stress and suffer from anxiety disorders.

That is why after the Quran exhorts to conquer the forces nature, it immediately tells:

شَرَعَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّينِ مَا وَصَّىٰ بِهِۦ نُوحًا وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِۦٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلدِّينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا۟ فِيهِ كَبُرَ عَلَى ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهِ ٱللَّهُ يَجْتَبِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَن يُنِيبُ

(42:13) – In matters of faith, He has ordained for you that which He had enjoined upon Noah - and into which We gave thee [O Muhammad] insight through revelation as well as that which We had enjoined upon Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus: Steadfastly uphold the [true] faith, and do not break up your unity therein. [And even though] that [unity of faith] to which thou callest them appears oppressive to those who are wont to ascribe to other beings or forces a share in His divinity, God draws unto Himself everyone who is willing, and guides unto Himself everyone who turns unto Him.

Like Allah’s Laws which operate in the outer universe, He has devised Laws for humankind. Since the beginning, these Laws have been conveyed through Messengers by Revelation.

Therefore, the way of life devised for humanity is the same that was revealed to Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus and the other Messengers including our last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

May Allah give us the fortitude, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to follow the shining footsteps of the Prophet (PBUH). Then Allah guarantees that His cosmic forces will join us in our effort to achieve the best goal for humanity:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

Verily, God and His angels bless the Prophet: [hence,] O you who have attained to faith, bless him and give yourselves up [to his guidance] in utter self-surrender! (33:56)
