No Tuition for Genocide: Student Movement for Palestine Erupts Nationwide


Grant Miner discusses Columbia University is threatening to call in the National Guard to evacuate the Gaza solidarity encampment, where hundreds of students are holding the campus lawn until Columbia agrees to divest from Israel. The protest, and the subsequent police raid ordered by Columbia, has inspired campuses all over the country to escalate their tactics to demand divestment.

Amanda Yee discusses the House and Senate just passed a $95 billion bill to reinforce the U.S. war machine and ban the social media app where its critics are loudest. The legislation attached the measure to ban TikTok with more funding for Israel’s Gaza onslaught, the stalling war in Ukraine, and for Taiwan to pump up a Cold War with China.

Grant Miner, a PhD candidate at Columbia and the vice president of SWC UAW 2710, which is a part of Columbia University Apartheid Divest, joins Rania and Eugene to discuss the historic protest and how students across the US have joined the call to stand in solidarity with Palestine.

Amanda Yee, a Journalist and the Managing Editor of Liberation News analyzes why there is broad consensus in Congress for expansion of censorship and the U.S. war machine but for little else.
