The protest, and the subsequent police raid ordered by Columbia, has inspired campuses all over the country to escalate their tactics to demand divestment.
Amanda Yee discusses the House and Senate just passed a $95 billion bill to reinforce the U.S. war machine and ban the social media app where its critics are loudest. The legislation attached the measure to ban TikTok with more funding for Israel’s Gaza onslaught, the stalling war in Ukraine, and for Taiwan to pump up a Cold War with China.
