Why Were Assassination Attempts on Trump Ignored by the Media?
On July 13, the day a man with a rifle tried to assassinate Trump at a Pennsylvania rally, the man was shot dead by the Secret Service, and the former president received a light injury on his ear.
Two months later, on September 15, the FBI stated that 45 was the target of "what appears to be an attempted assassination at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida." 45 was unharmed, and the suspect was captured 30 minutes later, according to a news wire service. Two failed attempts on Trump's life became front-page stories with 24/7 news coverage.
Four years ago, if we go back to September 2020, President Trump was lucky when he escaped the first assassination attempt on his life. What truly happened was that while Trump was eating his favorite food, McDonald's with a diet coke, news broke that someone in Canada was trying to assassinate the President of the United States by sending him a letter containing the poisonous substance ricin to the White House. The letter was intercepted at a processing facility where mail is screened before being sent to the White House mailroom.
A few days later, the prime suspect was arrested at the New York-Ontario border while trying to cross into Buffalo, N.Y. Surprisingly, the President then did not tweet about the incident, and suddenly the story went cold for lack of media interest. How could that be possible, especially when this terrorist was trying to assassinate our president?
I thought you would never ask. The prime suspect was identified as Quebec resident Pascale Ferrier. According to the newswire service, she is a 53-year-old computer programmer originally from France who became a Canadian citizen in November 2015.
Given the fact that this was an earth-shaking event, the story, for some odd reason, went cold and was shoved under the rug. No public official or media outlet referred to this woman as a terrorist or condemned the act.
It looks like some terrorists get more privileges than others. To cut a long story short, this wannabe terrorist was not a black radical, a Mexican thug, an evil "Moozlem," not even a Muslim convert, and had no Al-CIA-Da or ISIS connections.
She was simply a White Anglo-Saxon with French and Canadian citizenship. Both countries are close allies of the United States. Exposing her terrorist act would create unease and embarrassment among people in two of our greatest allies. After all, the U.S. government and the MSM could not spin this story to the narrative they wanted.
Yes, President Trump got lucky, and he should have thanked God for that and been nice to others. However, why was the attempt on Trump's life not newsworthy in 2020?
