Jesus and FAMILY in Islam [Quran and Ahadith]
Islam is an absolute monotheistic faith that is based on the belief in one God [UNITY], without any associations with other living, dead, gods, or deities. The word Islam is derived from the pro-Semitic root [SLM=Salam, Shalom, and Peace].
Islam is based solely on the Quran and the Prophet Mohammed’s (s) [ahadith and Sunnah]. The Quran is the last revelation/Last Testament from God and is preserved as one text, in the same dialogue/language, without any addition, deletion, or revision by anyone, unlike other scriptures. It is in the original script and available in different translations and exegesis.
Ahadith is related to the Prophets [Muhammad, Moses, and Jesus], their words, quotes, statements, approvals, and actions. The Sunnah refers to the lifestyle and actions of the Prophets. Islam is the only faith that honors and gives high status to the prophet Eesa [Jesus], and His family, including Imran/Amran, Maryam/Mary, Harun/Aaron, Elizabeth [wife of Zakaria/Zachariah], and Yahya/John the Baptist [son of Zakaria] PBUT.
GENEALOGY
1-Imran [Amran]
Imran bin Matan and his wife, Hannah bint Faqudh, had three children: Harun (Aaron), Maryam, and Elizabeth [w/p Zakaria], and two grandsons: Yahya and Eesa. Chapter 3 of the Quran is named after Imran's family, known as the 'Ale-Imran' (Family of Imran). This chapter highlights several important events.
- God chooses Adam, Noah, and the family of Abraham and Imran over the worlds. (Quran 3:33).
- Birth of Maryam and Eesa.
- Miracles of Eesa.
- Live ascension of Eesa.
- Zakaria and Yahya.
2-Zakaria [Zachariah-s]
Prophet Zakaria is mentioned in the Quran seven times by his name. He was a Semite and the son-in-law of Imran, married to Elizabeth, and the father of Yahya. He was also the maternal uncle of Eesa. Zakaria similar to Abraham had a child (Yahya] in old age.
3-Yahya [John the Baptist]
Prophet Yahya (John the Baptist) was a prophet mentioned in the Quran five times by his name. He was a Semite, the grandson of Imran and Hannah, the son of Zakaria and Elizabeth, and the cousin of Eesa. In Islam, there is no evidence of Prophet Yahya baptizing the Prophet Eesa.
4-Maryam [Mary]
Islam holds women in high regard and even has a chapter named after them, called 'Al Nisa' meaning 'The Woman.' The wives of the Prophet are also known as 'Mothers of Muslims.' [Umma-tul Muslimeen]. Four women are particularly honored in Islam: Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh and caretaker of Moses; Mary, the mother of Jesus; Qatija, the first woman Muslim and wife of the Prophet; and Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet.
Mariam = maidservant [of God] and belonged to the descendants of Adam and Israel (Jacob or Yakub). Hence, she was Bani Adam and Bani-Israel. At the age of 12, she achieved a special status called 'Waliyyah’ [Saint]. She passed away at the age of 48, four years after Jesus' ascension. The 19th chapter of the Quran is named after her, referred to as 'Ale-Maryam' or 'Family of Maryam,' which tells her story.
- Maryam was addressed as ‘O sister of Harun/Aaron’.
- about Maryam and Jesus.
- about Zakaria and Yahya.
- God is the most powerful and greatest Creator.
Birth and Childhood [Maryam]: Maryam’s mother [Hannah] was expecting a boy and made the intention to dedicate the boy to God. She was surprised to have a girl. She made her dedicated to God with supplication for her under the guardianship of Prophet Zakaria in the worship place. Quran 3:33 (‘…And mention) when the wife of Imran said, ‘O my Lord, I have vowed to You what is in my womb, to be dedicated (to Your service), so accept this from me.
Indeed, You are All-Hearing, All-Knowing.’ Then when she delivered her (Mary), she said, ‘O my Lord, I have delivered a female,’ and God knew best what she delivered, ‘And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge with You for her and her children from Satan, the expelled (from the mercy of God).’
Quran 3:37 "So her Lord fully accepted her, and gave her a good upbringing, and put her under the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer room, he found her supplied with food. He said, ‘O Mary, where do you get this from?’ She said, ‘This is from God. Indeed, God provides for whom He wills, without limit."
Noble and Honored [Maryam]
As stated earlier, Maryam holds a high status in Islam and is one of four women to have received this honor. She is the only woman mentioned in the Quran, appearing 29 times. Maryam-bint Imran was the daughter of Imran and Hannah, sister of Elizabeth [w/o Zakaria], maternal aunt of Yahya, and the mother of Eesa. She is considered a role model for motherhood and purity.
Quran 3:42-44 'And (mention) when the angels said', ‘O Mary, indeed God has chosen you, purified you, and chosen you above the women of the worlds.’ ‘O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow down along those who bow down (in prayer).’
Quran 5:75 '.. His (Jesus) mother (Mary) was a woman of truth.'
Quran 21:91 'And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of our spirit and we made her and her son a sign for all peoples.'
Quran 66:12 'And Mary the daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity; & We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; & she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord & His Revelations, was one of the devout (servants).
Conception-Pregnancy-Delivery and Post-Delivery [Maryam]
The pregnancy of Mary, the mother of Jesus, was miraculous as she became pregnant without any contact with a male. The birth of Jesus was similar to that of Adam who was made from clay and Eve who was created with one parent. Some people had doubts and falsely accused Mary of slandering, calling it adultery and fornication. However, when Jesus was born, he spoke as an infant and defended his mother. This is in the text Apocrypha.
Quran 19:28 They said: 'O Mary! Truly a strange thing has thou brought! 'O sister of Aaron, thy father was not a man of evil, nor your mother a woman unchaste!'
Quran 19:16-17 'Relate in the Book, Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East. She placed a screen from them; then we sent our Angel (Gabriel) and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.'
Quran 3:3 'She was assigned to the care of Zachariah.' (Uncle-Guardian)
Quran 19:25: 'And Shake towards thyself the trunk of the Palm tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee'
Quran 19:24 'But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the Palm tree' Grieve not! For thy Lord hath provided a stream/rivulet beneath thee'
Quran 23:50: 'And We made the son of Maryam & his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest & security & furnished with springs.'
5-Prophet EESA [Jesus]
Genealogy: Adam > Nuh > Shem [Semite] > Abraham > Isaac > Imran > Maryam > Eesa. Jesus, also known as Prophet Eesa, is a highly respected figure in a few faiths. He is revered for his enlightenment, miracles, justice, morality, wisdom, and truth.
Additionally, he is considered a wise teacher. As such, there is much we can learn about him. Jesus was often referred to as the Son of Mary, which was an honorable title bestowed upon both him and his mother.
Note: It is worth noting that Eesa was the only prophet who was given prophethood in infancy and he even spoke about it as an infant [in Apocrypha].
Other names
Jesus, Jessu, Esau, Yehoshua, Masih-Messiah, Christ, Immanuel. It is worth noting that in the Quran, he is referenced about 29 times directly and approximately 200 times indirectly. In Arabic culture, a child's last name is typically derived from their father's name, for instance, Mohammad ibn/bin Abdullah. However, in the case of Eesa's creation, he was born without a father. Hence the title [Eesa-Ibn-Maryam = Son of Maryam].
Quran 33:5. Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah. But if you do not know their fathers - then they are [still] your brothers in religion and those entrusted to you. And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended. Trinity-Unity: (Belief in the Unity of God is the First creed in Islam).
There is no evidence of Trinity in Islam. All prophets believed in, preached, and enforced the Unity of God, which is emphasized in both Islamic and non-Islamic Scriptures. Islam recognizes Eesa as a prophet or apostle of God, but not as God, Spirit, son of God, Avatar- Mutant, or savior.
Quran 5:73 “Surely, disbelievers are those who said: 'Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity).' But there is no Allah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah)”
Quran 5:116-117 “And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): ‘O 'Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: “Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?”’ He will say: ‘Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All- Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen).
‘Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) did command me to say: “Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things.”
Jesus/Eesa (His coming is Foretold)
The coming of Muhammad was foretold in the scriptures through Moses in Torah and Eesa in Injeel. Quran 3:45: Behold! the angels said: 'O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Messiah-Christ Eesa, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to God/Allah... '[Isaiah 7:14:] [Luke 1:31] [Mathew 1:23]
Jesus’s creation (Birth)
In Islam, all humans were created by the same God through their parents except Adam [by God] and Eve [by God from Aadam]. The creation of Adam and Eve was pure and immaculate. The birth of Jesus was similar to that of Adam [made from clay] and Eve [created with one parent]. It is important to note that to create something, whether it is a living being like clones or non-living objects like electronics, a person needs something to create it.
Quran 3:59: 'The similitude of Jesus before God is as that of Adam, He created him from dust, then said to him: 'Be'... And he was.
Quran 19:15'And Peace be upon him the day he was born the day that he dies and the day that he is raised alive!' (Jesus) (Quran 19:33)
Quran 19:9 He said: 'So (it will be). Your Lord says: It is easy for Me. [Luke 1:37. Hadith: 'None are born except that Satan touches them upon their birth, due to which it comes out screaming from its touch, except Mary and her son (Jesus).
God is the most powerful and Great creator who created all universes with nothing, compared to humans who create from something. The creation of Prophet Adam was the most miraculous and unique without any parent, Eve, without a mother, and Jesus, without a father. Yahiya, Ishmael, and Isaac were born to old-age parents [Zakaria and Abraham].
In modern scientific cloning, a source is needed, like atleast one gene. Even in this scientific world, living things are created from a single gene or chromosome. Thus, God is the great Creator who created all living and non-living beings from nothing.
Scriptures: Revelation and Ahadith Texts (Belief in all Original Revelations is the second creed).
Prophet Eesa, also known as Jesus, was a Prophet or Nabi who was given a Book of Wisdom called the Injeel or Gospel. However, he was not given the Book of Law or Shariah that was given to Moses. As a Nabi without a Book of Law, He followed and preached the Law or Halakah of the previous Rasul, Moses. He reaffirmed in both the Quran and the Bible that he did not come to break the previous laws, but rather to enforce them.
Quran 5:46: 'We sent him the Gospel, therein was guidance and light and confirmation of the Torah that had come before him. Guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.' [John 1:17]
Quran 3:50 (Jesus said) 'To attest the law which was before me & to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden you; I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear God & obey me.' [Matthew 5:17-18]
Quran 53:3-4 'He (Muhammad) doesn't speak from his desire; indeed, what he says is from revelation' [John 12:49]
Faith-Absolute Monotheism
The faith of all prophets is to worship one absolute God with total obedience and submission, which was known as Haneefa during the time of Prophet Abraham. Islam is a complete faith. Quran 43:63-64 'When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), he said: I have come to you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that about which you differ. So, keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is the right path.'[John 8:39]
Prophets: [Belief in all prophets is the third creed in Islam].
There were thousands of prophets appointed by God, but only 25 of them were mentioned in the scriptures (Bible-Quran). The most important of these prophets were Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Joseph, Jonah, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (also known as Paraclete).
The majority of the prophets mentioned were descendants of Adam, Noah-Shem, and Abraham [Hence, Semites, which means they were descendants of Shem, who was the son of Noah]. They were given revelations from God. The coming of Jesus and Muhammad was foretold in the scriptures. All of the prophets had the same mission: to follow, preach, and reinforce the faith of Adam and Abraham, which is the unity of God (absolute monotheism).
Prophet
Like all other prophets, Eesa, was chosen as Prophet for the people of Israel by the Sovereign and Supreme God to serve as a mediator between HIM and humanity. The prophet's essential role is to deliver God's message to mankind.
Quran 19:34: 'That is Jesus, son of Mary, word of truth about which they are in dispute'.
Quran 3:52: 'When Jesus found unbelief on their part He said' Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah? Said the disciples 'We are Allah's helpers: we believe in Allah and do bear witness that we are Muslims.'
Quran 19:30: 'He (Jesus) said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;'
Quran 3-49: 'I will make him (Jesus) a Messenger to the Children of Israel'[Jeremiah 25:4] ‘ [Matthew 21:11:] '[John 9:17] [Romans 15:8] [1 Timothy 2:5] [Luke 24:19 ]
Prophet Jesus for Bani Israel Eesa was chosen by God for Bani-Israel as a Mediator between Allah & the children of Israel. Quran 3:52 When Jesus found unbelief on their part He said: ";Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah?"; Said the disciples: ";We are Allah's helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims.
Quran 3-49: "And I will make him (Jesus) a Messenger to the Children of Israel" [Mathew 15:24]
Prophet Eesa was a Muslim
Eesa performed 5 actions [pillars]: Unity of God, prayers [Standing, bending, prostration, and sitting], Fasting, Charity, and Pilgrimage. Eesa believed in 6 creeds [beliefs]: God, all prophets, all revelations, all angels, Pre-destiny, and Judgment Day.
Prophet Mohammad and Eesa in Ahadith
Prophet Isa (Jesus) is mentioned by name 25 times in the Quran, while Prophet Muhammad is mentioned 4 times. Both Prophets refer to each other in their scriptures, with Prophet Muhammad being referred to as the Holy Spirit/Holy Truth, the Praised One-Paraclete, Advocate, and Counselor, and Prophet Isa being referred to as brethren/brother in faith.
Quran 7:157: 'Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law (Torah) and the Gospel (Injeel).
Quran 61:6: 'And remember. Jesus, the son of Mary. Said: O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (Sent) to you, confirming the Law (Torah) before me, and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is AHMAD (Praiseworthy) ... [John 16:13] [John 14:26] [Deuteronomy 18:18-19] [Matthew 3:11 ]
Hadith: I am most close to Jesus, son of Mary, among the whole of mankind in this worldly life and the next life. They said: Allah's Messenger how is it? Thereupon he said: Prophets are brothers in faith, having different mothers. Their religion is, however, one and there is no Apostle between us (between I and Jesus). (SM-Book 030, # 5836 Abu Huraira Narrator) Mission of Jesus Just like other Prophets, Jesus was given a mission to practice, preach, and spread the message of Absolute Monotheism and Divine guidance of Allah SWT without any alterations or revisions. His mission was to enforce and spread the faith of Abraham, which is the Unity of God or Absolute Monotheism. Jesus followed, preached, and enforced the original message about the Unity of God.
Quran 42:13: 'He has ordained for you of religion (Islam) what He enjoined upon Noah & that which We have revealed to you, O Muhammad, & what We enjoined upon Abraham & Moses & Jesus - to establish the religion & not be divided therein (sects)...'
Quran 5: 72: 'while Jesus has said, 'O Children of Israel-worship God, my Lord & your Lord'.
Quran (111:1 & 4): 'Say: He is God the One and Only, And there is none like unto Him. [John 13:15] [John 8:39] [Mark 12:29] [Mark 12:32]
Miracles of Jesus
The Prophets, such as Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, were given revelations by God. Jesus miraculously spoke as a newborn and his miracles were summarized in a single verse. Quran 5:110: The Day when Allah will say, 'O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and remember when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay what was like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission, and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from killing you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, 'This is not but obvious magic'. [John 5:30:] [5:110 and Apocrypha Infancy Gospel].
Quran 19:24: But he called her from below her, Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.
Khitan (Circumcision-Ritual)
Male circumcision originated with Abraham and has been followed by later prophets, Moses, Eesa, and Mohammad, and their followers. Muslims typically undergo circumcision within the first week after birth or before puberty. This practice is considered Sunnah and is seen as a natural state of man. There is no evidence in the Quran or hadith of Prophet Muhammad to support female circumcision. This practice was a cultural tradition during the Pre-Mosaic time of the Pharaoh but is not a part of Islamic tradition.
Hadith: ‘The (characteristics of) the fitrah are five: circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, trimming the mustache, cutting the fingernails, and plucking the armpit hairs.’ (Narrator Abu-Huraira in al-Saheehayn: SB, SM) [Leviticus 12:3] [Luke 2:21]
Love (Parents/Neighbors): Love thy neighbor as thyself is fundamental in all scriptures, as all of mankind are brothers and sisters in faith, being children of Adam.
Quran 4: 36: '.. do good-to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbors who are near & distant, the Companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet)... ' [Matthew 15:4:] [Matthew 5: 43]
Head Covering (Gears, Veils, and Scarfs): Mary, the most honored woman in the Quran (Islam) is always displayed in Head covering.
Quran 24:31 'And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments [1-Corinthians11:6 ]
Jihad (Strive): The struggle to submit to the Sunnah of Revelation and the Prophet, encompassing the body, mind, and soul.
Quran 29:69: 'As for those who strive (Jihad) in us, we surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good'[Romans 2:7]
(Purification) Holistic: Body purification involves various methods such as water, ablution, and baptism. Meanwhile, heart and soul purification is attained through the belief in the unity of God and the verbal testimony of one God known as Shahada.
Quran 2:138: (Our religion is) the Baptism of Allah: And who can baptize better than Allah? And it is He Whom we worship.
Quran 5:6:'O you who believe! When you prepare for prayers, wash your face, and your hands (to elbows); wipe your head part and wash your feet (to ankles) (with Water). If you are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body (with water) ... '[Matthew 3:11:]
Divine Law: Laws (Shariah, Halakah, and Canon)
The Divine Law is based on the original revelations found in the Taurat, Injeel, and Quran, as well as the teachings of Prophets Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad. Jesus was a Prophet who had a book of messages and wisdom. He followed the laws in the Torah and made it clear that He
did not come to abolish them.
Quran 5:46 'We sent him the Injeel, therein was guidance and light and confirmation of the Torah that had come before him a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.' [John 1:17] [Mathew 5:17-19]
Sunnat-ul-Allah/God is the way prescribed in the original revelation [Suhuf, Zabur, Taurat, Injeel, and Quran]. Sunnat-ul Nabi/Prophet is the way prescribed in the original Hadith texts [Abraham, Daud, Moses, Eesa, and Mohammad were Nabi.]
On the other hand, Hadith is a teaching of Nabi from the inspiration of God in the form of a quote, statement, word, way, and approval. The law derived from these two Sunnahs is Divine Law [Canaan, Halakah, and Shariah.]
Original [Hereditary?] Sin
According to some religious beliefs, when Adam disobeyed a dietary commandment, it was considered the Original Sin or the First Sin. However, Adam and Eve repented for their actions and their penitence was accepted. The consequences that followed are not supported by evidence in the original scriptures and are considered to be a fabrication.
Making false accusations against God and Prophets is considered blasphemy. It is important to note that a person's sins, whether committed knowingly or unknowingly, are never transferred, or inherited. Therefore, every human being is born sinless.
Hadith: ‘Moses said: 'My Lord! May I see Adam who removed us and himself from the Paradise?' So, Allah made him see Adam, and he said to him: 'Are you Adam?' Adam said: 'Yes.' And he said: 'Were you the one in whom Allah breathed His spirit, and before whom He bowed His angels, and to whom He taught the names of all things?' Adam answered: 'Yes.' So, Moses said: 'What made you remove us and yourself from Paradise?' Adam said unto him: 'Who are you?' He said: 'I am Moses.' Adam said: 'So you are Moses the prophet of the Children of Israel. Were you the one Allah spoke directly?' Moses answered: 'Yes.' Adam said: 'Why do you blame me for a matter which Allah had predestined?' 'Prophet said twice. 'Adam outclassed Moses.'(Abu Huraira. Omar ra-SB)
Sin [Eternal/Major} Associating any living or non-living form, such as an image, idol, minor deity, Avatar, Mutant, etc. with an absolute sovereign God is considered a major and eternal sin. This sin is much graver than the sin of Adam and Eve, which was minor and forgiven after their repentance. However, any sin, whether major or minor, can be forgiven if one seeks repentance and follows the righteous path.
Quran 4:116 Verily! Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom he pleases sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away. (Major Sin-Shirk/Eternal Sin) [John 16:8]
Jesus’s Ascension and Crucifixion
In Islam, it is believed that Jesus was not crucified and did not die for Original sin or the sins of mankind. According to Islamic and biblical teachings, God does not punish a person for the sins committed by another individual. Even man-made laws abide by this principle. Jesus is considered to be the only prophet who ascended to heaven alive before the crucifixion. Some scholars believe that this ascension took place when
He was 33 years old. According to Islamic tradition, Allah created a young man who looked exactly like Jesus and, while Jesus was made to sleep, the young man ascended to heaven in his place through a hole that opened in the roof of the house.
Quran 17:15: “No soul will be questioned about what another soul has done…”
Quran 4:157. and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the prophet. But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so
Quran 2:156: 'Surely we belong to God and to Him shall we return'
Quran 4:158: 'But God lifted him (Jesus) up (with his body & soul) unto Himself (& he is in the heavens).
Quran 19:15 'And Peace be upon him the day he was born the day that he dies and the day that he is raised alive!'(Jesus) [Deuteronomy 24:16] [I Corinthians 3:8 ] [John 12:32] [John 20:17]
Death of Mankind and Prophets-Second coming of Eesa
According to the Quran, every human being, without any exception, including Eesa, will experience death and resurrection once. Eesa did not die but was ascended alive. Hence, He will return near the Day of Judgment as the second coming. It is believed after the second coming; He will stay alive for 40 years under Shariah, marries, and dies. His final resting place will be in Madinah, where he will be buried alongside the Prophet Muhammad, Abu-Bakr, and Omar. This information is mentioned in Tirmidi and Torah-Abdullah Ibn Salam. Quran 39:30 'Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die’.
Quran 29:57 'Every soul will taste death; then to us will you be returned'
Hadith: After his descent on earth, Eesa/Jesus will marry. He will have children, and he will remain on earth for 19 years after marriage. He will pass away, and Muslims will perform his Funeral (Janaza) and bury him next to Prophet Muhammad (s). (Tirmidi). This is written in the original Torah as well (Abdullah Ibn Salam)
