Surah 94

Ash-Sharh (The Opening Forth)

﴿١﴾  أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ
1.  Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate,
﴿٢﴾  وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ
2.  And eased thee of the burden
﴿٣﴾  ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ
3.  Which weighed down thy back;
﴿٤﴾  وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ
4.  And exalted thy fame?
﴿٥﴾  فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
5.  But lo! with hardship goeth ease,
﴿٦﴾  إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
6.  Lo! with hardship goeth ease;
﴿٧﴾  فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ
7.  So when thou art relieved, still toil
﴿٨﴾  وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب
8.  And strive to please thy Lord.
