1 And when the messengers despaired and their people thought the messengers had been denied help, Our help came to them. We then saved whoever We willed, and Our punishment is never averted from the wicked people. Dr. Mustafa Khattab
2 [All the earlier apostles had to suffer persecution for a long time;] but at last -when those apostles had lost all hope and saw themselves branded as liars - Our succour attained to them: whereupon everyone whom We Milled [to be saved] was saved [and the deniers of the truth were destroyed]: for, never can Our punishment be averted from people who are lost in sin.
