¹  And ˹remember˺ when We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam,” so they all did—but not Iblîs, who protested, “Should I prostrate to the one You have created from mud?”  Dr. Mustafa Khattab

²  AND LO! We said unto the angels, "Prostrate yourselves before Adam"-whereupon they all prostrated themselves, save Iblis. Said he: "Shall I prostrate myself before one whom Thou hast created out of clay?"  Muhammad Asad

⁵  And (remember) when We said to the angels: Prostrate unto Adam. They prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He said: Shall I prostrate to one whom You created from clay?  Muhsin Khan
