1  Do not advocate for those who wrong themselves. Surely Allah does not like those who are deceitful, sinful.  Dr. Mustafa Khattab

2  Yet do not argue in behalf of those who are false to their own selves: verily, God does not love those who betray their trust and persist in sinful ways.  Muhammad Asad

3  And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive themselves. God does not love the deceitful sinner.  Talal Itani

4  Do not plead for those who are dishonest to themselves; Allah does not love him who betrays trust and persists in sin.  Maududi

10  Contend not on behalf of such as betray their own souls; for Allah loveth not one given to perfidy and crime:  Yusuf Ali
