As you know, Udhiya is an act of worship which reminds us of the great act of sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail were willing to make for the sake of Allah .

This sacrifice is ordained upon Muslims - as long as they can afford it.

Hunger is the leading cause of death throughout the world, killing more people than AIDS, malaria & tuberculousis. Approximately 805 million people in the world do not have enough food to live. That is one in nine people!

Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five - 3.1 million children each year.

One out of six children - approximately 100 million - in the developing world is underweight.

We hope that you will consider giving the gift of Udhiha/Qurbani again this year.
