As Salaamu Alaykum,
As our current Udhiya/Qurbani program is coming to a close we thought we
would send a reminder.
As you know, Udhiya is an act of worship which reminds us of the great
act of sacrifce that Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail were willing to make for
the sake of Allah.
This sacrifice is ordained upon Muslims - as long as they can afford it.
Hunger is the leading cause of death throughout the world, killing more
people than AIDS, malaria & tuberculousis. Approximately 805 million
people in the world do not have enough food to live. That is one in nine
people!
We hope, if you are able, you will take a moment to fulfill your
obligation and sacrifice for those who are in need.
