The Old Testament Bible scriptures foretell the coming of a Messiah; the New Testament shows the Jew, Yeshua, as the Messiah by His birth, death and resurrection. He did not come to "guide his followers to bliss". The Muslims have a different Jesus. The Christian Jesus/Yeshua came for one purpose, and that was to fulfill His destiny as the Old Testament Lamb, "which takes away the sins of the world." Because Almighty God is holy and righteous, there had to be an acceptable payment for mankind's sin, and only God Himself was able to produce an acceptable sacrifice. Man cannot atone for his sins because of his imputed sin nature. Praise God, He made a way for "whosoever" to have eternal life through the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Yeshua HaMashiach!

The idea of the Original Sin is absurd and the OT proves that the son shall not bear the inequity of the father. |

"Saint", clearly you do not understand your own depravity and proclivity to sin, and thus a need for a Saviour. That is very dangerous ground to be on, because if you die without your sin issue dealt with, there remains no further atonement for you, but you will, instead, face everlasting damnation. That is not my teaching, friend, but is the clear and unequivocal teaching found in both the OT and NT, the precedent Scriptures, from which Mohammad cherry-picked for the Islam faith. |

I am not depraved. On the contrary those are depraved who change the word of God for petty worldly gains. "THE concept of original sin did not come from the writings of the apostles, nor from the Old Testament prophets, nor from the words of Christ Himself. We see little development of the teaching of original sin before the end of the fourth century a.d. The concept of original sin was popularized by Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, a.d. 354-431. This concept held that we not only inherit the weakness and nature of fallen Adam, and the natural tendency and inevitable inclination to follow his pathway of sin, but that we are also personally condemned and are personally guilty for Adam's sin--in addition to our own sins. Louis Berkof identifies Augustine as the originator of the concept of original sin: "The early Church Fathers contained nothing very definite about original sin. . . . It is especially in Augustine that the doctrine of original sin comes to fuller development. According to him, the nature of man, both physical and moral, is totally corrupted by Adam's sin, so that he cannot do otherwise than sin. This inherited corruption of original sin is a moral punishment for the sin of Adam." Systematic Theology, 244-245." http://www.sundaylaw.net/studies/truelife/fundamentals/original.htm |

Greetings The Saint, Do you know of any human able to live a sinless life? The answer to that is no. Yshwe was the only sinless man to walk this earth and that was because of His divine nature. All of us who have come into the world in the usual way arrive with the sin nature... that is the taint of original sin. The sin nature predisposes us to sinful behavior. Only by inviting Yshwe Messiah, through the Holy Spirit, into our hearts are we able to overcome this nature in ourselves... in taking Yshwe to share the yoke. God sent Yshwe to overcome the sin of the world. As Yshwe said; 'my yoke is easy, my burden is light' 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Peace and blessings to you,Caringheart Edited by Caringheart - 10 November 2014 at 8:47pm |
