Dear Sammy,

This is a loving and noble thing for you to do.  You have so many things to consider.  Muslims from differnt countries have different traditions.  Also, those traditions change when they live in a different country.  Is he near his family at all?  Is he religious, or does he just fast during Ramadan?  Does he make salat?

Find out his favorite foods and learn to cook a couple of them at least, especially deserts and a nice early breakfast before fajr. Something light and not salty is best, and lots of water helps with the fast.

Most people like to visit a lot during Ramadan.  And there are a lot of late nights with some folks.

In Shah Allah, you will prosper together.

Salaamu Alaykum

Some phrases:

(Ramadan Mubarak, Ramadan Kareem, which are basically Happy Ramadan, but literally Blessed Ramadan and Esteemed Ramadan)

Most people like dates to break their fast with, and a big glass of water.  Then they pray Maghrib, and then eat the big meal.

Peace

Al-Hamdulillah (From a Married Muslimah) La Howla Wa La Quwata Illa BiLLah - There is no Effort or Power except with Allah's Will.
