 Before talking, it's better to get all the information. Do you know anything about the way the husband is treating his wife? Maybe he did something and he was just afraid.
That should be the starting point.
But your statement "The wife is supposed to be dear to the husband", is equal for both of the members, because the wife is the person who needs more love. Lot of husbands are as basics as animals!

LOOOL he robbed sweets , clearly he didnt mean no harm, maybe just was confused for a bit and having a hard time.
