Okay, i want to take this off my chest..Please read & help

As Salam u Alaikoum

My mom and Dad recently got into a fight early this year and she left, leaving me, my dad and older brother in the home while she took my two younger siblings along with her (she told me to come with her but i said no, due to the fact that i was taking College classes..). Life, i can say was a REAL struggle bcuz my dad didnt work and we all used to take from what our mother worked hard 4. My mother eventually missed months of rent and was down on our electricity bill, I had no idea of this because my mom always hides all of this from me...One day my father came to me as I just turned 18, and told me to rush to the bank and grab a credit card, I was soo unsure of this idea (Islamically haram to consume interest, War with Allah s.w.t and his Rasul s.a.w) I said no to my dad, and at the time, he understood my judgement; and avoided asking me again. But eventually there was no food left at home so my dad forced me to get a credit card to pay bills and to eat food I was soo saddened by receiving my first ever credit card at 18 i am already at war with Allah, but i hid what i felt deep inside and smiled because my dad was happy, it was really awkward. Fast forward a few weeks, me and my brother were sleeping while my dad came into my room and told me he got another credit card for me. I didn't react in a negative way instead i said okay and went back to sleep, on the day we were going to pick up my credit card (i believe Allah somehow prevent this from* happening) The post office clerk told us that i didn't have proper id, i was still young, i needed to at least have a drivers license. So we just canceled the card and my chest lightened soo much i felt soo good knowing that i wouldn't have another credit card. A couple months later, my mom felt like she messed up moving away from the country and we worked hard to fly her back in. They forgave one another and our family has been okay ever since until recently my dad again woke me up from bed this morning and forced me to get a credit card TODAY, i felt like a sinner and my whole day has been soo depressing i cant even think straight at school anymore i feel like my life is not going the way its Islamically supposed to go, i have to be honest here i used to pray 5 times a day and memorized a great deal of suras but ive forgotten most of it and dont pray much astaghfirullah i will start getting back on my salah inshallah, my mind is soo confused i cant think right anymore...... i just want to work all summer to pay back my parents debts and to go back to school with a clear mind..

So in total i have 2 Credit cards.

inshallah thank you for reading this semi-diary, and if you havent read then my question is

What should we tell our parents if they force us to get credit cards???/ do anything haram

if you've had a similar experiences like this in your life plzz let me know

Assalam Alaikum,

Bro you really a nice boy, at this age you think so much about islam. its really remarkable. Yes, if your parents command to do something haram, you can say no to it clearly. there is no sin. but you have to explain why you saying no.

I think in todays world its essential to have a Credit card. I do use cards but make the payments before the due date so no interest is occurred. dont think so much about some thing u had to do forcefully, pray to Allah that you study hard and concentrate in your career and at that time you will be able to say no to anyone asking you to do against islam cause will be not dependent at time

Hope this helps
