Am I seeing signs in dream?

Hello brothers and sisters, I'm muslim by birth but not very religious. However, after the death of my father 3 years ago I began to ask Allah for guidance. Since then I've noticed I manage to avoid situations that may damage my reputation or put me at harm etc whereas many of my friends aren't as lucky. I tend to have very vivid dreams but don't think much of it, but this morning I dreamt of my relationship with a boy I used to know and liked a lot (but obviously never acted on it) it was a very intense dream and I had a gut feeling I shouldn't dismiss it. In the dream we clicked and even in real life we got along very well before we drifted apart. Am I reading into this dream too much or is it a sign/premonition? (I'm quite young, 18- so would just like some advice)
