Your challenge is just begging for 300 page posts.  The kind that I don't bother to read.
 
I personally like socialist democracies.   Sweden is a prime example of that.  However, the downfall of socialist democracies is that the private sector is greatly inhibited due to high taxation.  This encourages lucrative businesses to head to more fertile grounds such as the United States.  Another short-coming is that the private sector has an uncanny ability to be more efficient than the public sector.  Socialist democracies rely on the public sector for healthcare and unemployment insurance among other things so this can pose a problem.

But the problem with over-privitization as is the case with the U.S., is that you get a small minority of people controlling the vast majority of wealth, leaving the rest of society disenfranchised.  The reason why the U.S. system works, however, is that there is just so much money to go around that even the small amount distributed to the vast majority is a substantial amount which allows your average American to lead a comfortable lifestyle.  When you apply the U.S. democratic system to poorer countries, its an utter failure because of the lack of money.

In short, I find myself sitting on the fence with respect to these two democratic systems.  However, I always go for the lesser of two evils and support the socialist democratic system.  That way if you're poor and you have a heart attack the government will pay your bill instead of you lying on the street while your heart dies.

The truths which are found in socialism are also found in Islam...

Both capitalism and socialism only view mans happiness in material means...man is more than material...man is also spiritual...and mans spiritual side is most important to his happiness...and both capitalism and socialism neglect this...

Islam is the best way...not man made ideologies that tell 1/2 truths...
