- The Critical Exam - The Questions in the Grave -

by Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan

This class is being taught by Kashiff Khan. Kashiff Khan studied Kitaab Al-Emaan with Shaykh Ali Naasir Al-Faqihi. He attended the sittings of Shaykh Ubayd bin Abdillah Al-Jaabiree as well as Shaykh Rabee bin Haadee al-Madkhalee. He is currently the Imam of Masjid Al-Bayaan in Asbury Park, NJ.

About the Class:

The Prophet said, When a human being is laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their foot steps, two angels come to him and make him sit and ask him, What did you use to say about this man, Muhammad?

He will say, I testify that he is Allahs slave and His Apostle.

Then it will be said to him, Look at your place in the Hell-Fire. Allah has given you a place in Paradise instead of it.

The Prophet added, The dead person will see both his places. But a non-believer or a hypocrite will say to the angels, I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say!

It will be said to him, Neither did you know nor did you take the guidance.

Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever approaches him except human beings and jinns.

(Bukhari, Kitaab Al-Janaaiz).

This will be an in depth class. The three questions below will be looked at in great detail and depth.

1. Who is your Lord?

2. What is your religion?

3. Who is your messenger?

For those taking The Critical Exam: Questions in the Grave class at Masjid Darul Islah, here are some suggested readings:

  • Terrorism: Between Modern Western Thought and Correct Islamic Belief - Listen as our brother, Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan, analyzes what has historically been regarded as 'terrorism' in Western literary works and lexicons after the renaissance, drawing upon examples from the French Revolution and other notable events that helped formed modern western society.  He then goes on to contrast this historical record with the true position of orthodox Islam on terrorism, finally going on to speak about the current heads of terrorism, the Muslims and the non-Muslims from amongst them.
  • The Purpose of Our Creation - A session taken from classes taught in New Jersey, USA, by Abu Hafsah Kashiff Khan, from the famous book al-Mawridul-'Adhabiz-Zullaal of Shaykh Ahmad Ibn Yahyaa an-Najmee.  This particular class deals with the purpose behind Allaah's creation us - mankind.  It is taken from the beginning chapters of Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmee's book.
