What do you mean by "quran wont go down their throat"?.

Does it refer to those who recite the Qur'an without understanding its meaning?

[QUOTE=Honzo].........a bibliography............a good overview for those who are interested in mainstream and orthodox views of the subjects discussed.......... .[QUOTE]

Mainstream is a term generally used to mean that which is ordinary or usual with familiar appeal to the masses.

I suppose by orthodox views you mean those views which are conforming to established religious doctrine derived from the Qur'aan and the Sunnnah.

And why would anyone waste his/her time reading the views of those writers rather than read and follow the established doctrines.
