Yup ! Sad about the lost splendor Ouch, and how far we have come from bieng the once superpower. By the way, I couldnt help but notice how the muslims once showed curiosity & interest in all sorts of knowledge and sciences. They didnt even mind studying 'Pagan knowledge' - whereas now, we are the complete opposite. And the reason why the West is now leading in all these aspects is that they have adopted this once muslim-approach towards knowledge and life in general. The Ummah should analyse our history like a case-study and take notes!

Was watching this other Zakir Naik lecture, and turns out that so many famous scientists and chemicals we read about in Chemistry etc were all due to Muslim Arabs! And most of us don't even know. because the names have been 'westernized' and no longer sound arab. For e.g "Gaber" we come across so many times in chemistry was actually "Jaabir". "Alcohol" was found by muslims, called "Al-Hul'.
