Assalam Alaykum dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

I am a new member of the forum who was inspired to join the club by the sharing of knowledge in the form of Q&A discussions. I am currently having a project of compiling Q&A on various Islamic knowldge such as Qur'an, the Sahabas and Prophets of Allah and would highly appreciate your contributions. I have noted Sis seekshidayath sharing the same interest of Q&A format of passing knowledge as well as several brothers and sisters joining the discussions. Jazakumullah Khayran.

After the Khalifah Umar Ibn Al-Khattab was stabbed and was unable to lead the muslims in prayer, whom did he appoint in his place as an interim for the 3 days until a new khalifah would be appointed to carry out his task?
