thanks for attempting to help abuayisha but u didnt. i have been on that forum and read through these articles before and they dont seem to clarify my questions.

the first link u gave exlains why God created the world and i already know why. What i was asking is are we informed as to why He chose to test us when He already knows the future?

My sister also wanted to know this. She said 'if God already knew i would never worship or believe in Him and He allows me to be born and live KNOWING i would end up in hell then why am i to blame?'

in a way i see a valid question there. but no one ever answers it. i always get told 'but she had the choice and free will to believe or not'. my argument is God KNEW she wouldnt already but still ALLOWED her to live....so isnt it mean that God allows ppl to live when he already knows their life will be a waste and they will be tormented in hell? how is God not in anyway responsible for that?

if i make robots and i know for certain they will destroy and kill but i make them anyway arent i to blame? then i turn around and tell them off and burn them to bits after i knew they were already going to do that.....if i turn around and say ' oh well they had free will' is that a good enough excuse. i would still be blamed for their actions coz i had proir knowledge.

you see none of those answers were provided in those links and since over 20 ppl have read my post and ur the only one who replied i am getting the feeling that even Muslims have no idea.

it wasnt enought that God knows what would happen if He made a human race, He still had to make us to see it all in action. doesnt this sound vein to anyone?

i dont hate God, not in any way. there is nothing more i want then to serve Him. but how can i truly serve Him when i have bad thoughts about Him? do u know what hell is on Earth? its thinking something bad about God that no one can clear up, asking questions no one directly answers and feeling hopeless.

all these Muslims claim they have the answers but when i ask questions i get the same answers as i do from christians...'we dont know why God does that'......if we dont know how can we live?

i apologise in advance if anything i ask seems offensive or if this post is long.

hi, my name is Mel. i have been truth seeking for so long that im getting quite distressed.

i read the Quran and it seems lovely. i especially love the laws. i think if they were implimented in todays world we would live in a wonderful planet. but there are a few fundemental things i really cannot grasp. whenever i ask these questions to Muslims they either get angry or say "You cant ask that". well if i cant ask how can i know?

firstly, im confused about the nature of God. the Quran says that we were created to worship God. it seems that Muslims cant do anything without saying some form of supplication. your whole lives from start to finish revolve around praying, fasting, supplications, reading Quran etc.

is this because God has some form of arrogance or a fragile ego? i hate to even ask that as it does seem to contradict the idea i have of God. i always thought God loved everyone if they were good but it seems He hates everyone unless they dedicate their life to praising Him all the time. let me explain why i ask this question....

God knows everything, what will happen and when. fully knowing this He still created earth knowing ppl will use their free will to commit atrocious crimes and that many of them would end up in hell. yet He still created it...why? just so we can praise Him? i sometimes feel like this world is a game to God. He knows what will happen anyway but He still created it coz he wants to be praised all the time. Am i interpreting this wrong? because this confuses me to the point of many break downs. i sob and cry because i do not want to think of God as arrogant or egotistical but thats all i can derive from the fact that we are just here to worship Him.

Second...is God in anyway accountable for evil? The Quran states that God created evil so is He accountable for the evil on earth. im aware we have free will but God knew in advance that we would choose to do evil things yet He still created us knowing that. if God knew most people on earth would disbelieve in Him and end up in hell but He still allows the human race to exist anyway is it really our fault despite our free will? we have free will but God has knowledge of the unseen.

thirdly, i constanly see that God is refered to as the Most Merciful. can someone clarify what that means. what i see from Islam is that He is only merciful if u worship him day and night....if u disbelieve in him or in Islam then ur excempt from this Mercy. is that correct? i thought that The Most Merciful would never create evil, wouldnt test ppl knowing most of them would fail and burn them for eternity or create a world with any sort of corruption. in my imagination God is a Being that loves everyone and would create a world with no death, evil, tests, or sadness.....i guess a place like heaven or janna. why the need for earth first if He has the option to just create things nice to begin with? im so confused why God made such a terrible world instead of just a nice one if He has the choice and is The Most Merciful.

i feel terrible for questioning why God does things. i understand that God does things that we cannot grasp. a lot like kids. they ask parents questions that they wouldnt be able to comprehend regardless of the explanation. that doesnt mean the explanation is wrong, it means they arent capable of understanding it yet. are we like that as humans in relation to God? He knows the answers but even if He expalained them we wouldnt understand coz we are limited?

i ask for really sincere replies to these questions. im in a great depression because of this. im so lost and confused that life has become so hard to live. i believe that if there is a right way to live it is with Islam but im still very unsure about vital issues

thanks for taking the time to help.
