You can not give your Zakat money to Mosque because it deserves poor and needy or Deni Madrasas.

Asalamu aleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
I have question about zakat on jeweleries. My wife had jeweleries for herself 260 gram. Later she sold all of her jeweleries for $9000. She has been wearing some of her jeweleries for the last 20 years and some it about 5 years. Now, should she pay zakat from this money? If so, for how many years should she pay zakat? Thank you very much Jaza kumullahu kheran Ibrahim |

There is no zakat on $100, as it is far below the minimum amount zakat is payable for, as well as 3K for the mosque, which are also funds for a specific purpose. And Allah Knows Best.

Asalam aleykum yaa ayuhal muslimun
I have question about Zakat. I believe that if someone even have a year round $100 saved should pay zakat $2.50. My question is our mosque have received charity $5000 to rebuild. From this money we paid some money to buy woods for the mosque. Now, we have $3000 left over before finishing to build the mosque. Should we pay Zakat from $3000 * 2.5% since this amount of the money kept for a year? Jaza kumullahu kheran Ibrahim |
