Totally agreed with you,but in Surah Al Mulk ch 67 v 2-Allah has created life and death in order to test you.so this verse fits on every individual, for rich man yes he has lot of money, but he always worry that what will happen if it is stolen, for him that's the test.moreover I also agree with you that yes Allah test some people with poverty, hunger but Allah also mentions in Surah Al Ra'ad ch 13 v 11-Allah will not change the situations of those people who don't want to change themselves,so if poor people want they can reduce poverty by their hard work.i m a student it feel very painful that others through unfair means such as leaking of papers earn better marks than me who had done lot of hard work,so that's the test for me.so according to me everybody is undergoing test.i will always remember this verse when I thank Allah,Surah Al Ibrahim ch 14 v 7-If U thank Allah,Allah will grant you more.Allahfiz

"Have you ever looked at someone who has experienced incredible loss, pain, and suffering, and thought to yourself, how is this fair? Have you ever thought about all the people suffering around the world, whether it be from hunger, poverty, living in fear of one's life and safety, or anything else, and thought to yourself, how is this fair? How is it fair that Allah has tested these people with so... much indescribable pain, while I sit here in my comfortable life?
If you've ever felt this way, realize that Allah is the most just and the most fair, and indeed Allah tests everyone in their own way. Allah may test someone with suffering, and Allah may test someone else with ease. As Allah said, "And We tested them with good [times] and bad that perhaps they would return [to obedience]." [7:168] The issue then is, do you recognize your test? The fact that you are living a comfortable, relatively painless life, means that your test may be a test of how grateful you are, or, how much you are doing with that which Allah has given you to help those who are suffering. Realize that the degree of your gratefulness and how much you're doing must match the degree to which people are suffering. Simply put: the more suffering that we see, the more grateful we should be, and the more we should be doing to relieve that suffering. And Allah knows best."
