As a Chinese translator I was approached one or two times by clients requesting for translation of Qu'ran or some excerpts of it. I quoted but they turned out to resort somewhere else. If I land that job, I think I could seek some help (for proper understanding of the text) here...

Salaam Alaikom,
My Chinese friend noticed that all the Chinese translations she read were more or less the same, and she said that she would just have to do with Ma Jian's translation. I hope they release a newer version with modern, understandable Chinese. Perhaps I can inform some publishers of this need. Shokran |

I found a physical copy of the Qur'an which is 2013 edition of Ma Jian, and apparently it's written in modern Chinese. I found a Kindle version to buy, but it is not available for purchase as of yet...

My friend said the best translation in her opinion was this one: http://www.gulanjing.com/html/2012-12/1427.html
but i'm not sure where to find it and who the translator is. The second best is the translation by Shams Tng Dozhāng, but i don't know where to find that one either. If you do know where to get one or both of them, please let me know. Shokran |

Assalam Alaikom wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
I have a Chinese friend interested in Islam, and I went to the mosque and handed her a translation of the noble Qu'ran. Thing is: the language used is archaic, hard to understand and I would imagine harder to connect emotionally and spiritually to it. Does anyone know of an accessible version of the Qu'ran translated into Chinese? This would be of GREAT help, baraka Allahu feekom |
