Some of the motivations of ISIS are shared by conservative Muslims namely that Islam is vastly superior over all other religions and that Islam should spread all across the world and eventually rule the whole world. While conservative Muslims just dream of this, ISIS puts this into action.

I don't think you understand who ISIS are. They are the creation of the CIA and Mossad of Israel. This is the reason the West took no action against them when they were supposedly killing hundreds and thousands of people in Iraq and Syria. Keep this thread in mind when they eventually start fighting Assad and overthrowing him. Now they have Russia on board. In the end Iran will not be able to defend Syria by itself. |

Tell your friends that ISIS wants them to hate Muslims. That is their goal. The more hatred they can stir up, the more they can point to the West as enemies of Islam, and the easier it is to induce formerly peaceful Muslims to join their holy war against us.
Your friends are right to hate ISIS. Muslims should hate ISIS too. We should all hate violent radicals and extremists. But if they expand that hatred to encompass Muslims in general, they are helping the very people they ought to hate. Edited by Ron Webb - 21 November 2015 at 9:57pm |

Can some good Islamic people help understand both the motivations of ISIS and why you oppose those motives and actions? I am not Muslim, but I believe in love and liberty, and fail to understand the motives of the Paris attacts. I am native american, and pass as white, so I hear a lot of terrible things said against Muslim people. I want to understand better what happened, and also how to encourage other people not to hate. ISIS is a weird fringe group, and the Islamic population as a whole should not suffer for their atrocities. Please help me understand your communities reasonings and doctrines so I can help my friends and family away from hatred.
