I think this is haram. Logical reason being that anyone who buys from a thief encourages the thief to continue with the act of stealing, which we all know is Haram.

The reason it might be wrong is simply that we as Muslims strive for a higher guideline... There is no information on whether a debt is owed ( you inserted your opinion, instead of seeking clarification). There seems to be a contradiction in terms here. Perhaps you mean he ordered the product and now has a debt owed to the vendor. Why would this be your concern?

The seller had informed me that he bought the product but never paid for it, which is scammed.
He said he will sell to me for cheaper than normal prices |
