Ah! Ha. Welcome back sis Ketchup! Nice to hear you around, though your 'free speach' may 'impeach' others, if not self controlled. Really, isn't a self controlled speech, yet a 'free speech' in a civilized society?

Freedom of speech is about innerself.  If you are allowed to think and speak ideas without being punished then that's free speech.

As soon as ANY control strolls in then it is gone.

Religion goes against human freedoms when one group forces their belief onto others..
THere Is no god, BUT GOD
and Adam was his First Messenger

Well, here I think, bro algo is considering 'freedom' as opposite of 'compulsion'. That may be true in its own rite, but is this the topic that relates to 'freedom of speech' under discussion? I don't think so.

This is an important question. What is freedom? The choise between 22 different types of tooth paste? And still - if Islam in any shape can be introduced as "the" pan religion no. 1, it must leave some space for freedom, not for me or other philosophers, but for the masses of people of different races. Wheter freedom exists or not, the apprehention is there.

I think religion is freedom in itself.

Religion merely guides and establishes a moral code, so that your "freedom of speech" doesn't hurt anyone feelings.

For Example: I can say to a brother, you smell. I have full right to exercise my freedom of speech.  However, in Islam, that would be slandering, and it is prohibited.

Ma'Salama,
Hamid

i also want to say that intolerance and extremism are types of expressions, so they go under the category of freedom of expression.

i made a statemant on freedom of speech.

i did not make any statement on freedom of expression.

It is better to be alone than to be in bad company.
