Why does man abandon what he has been created for?

   -If all of this universe is subservient to you, if the miracles and signs of this universe are evidences before your eyes and serve as a witness that there is no god but Allah alone, and if you know that your resurrection is a task that is easier for Allah than creating the heavens and the earth; if you know that He created you in the best form, and honored you greatly, and made the entire universe subservient to you, then what on earth has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Gracious One?! The Exalted says: {6. O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 7. Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 8. In whatever form He willed, He put you together}(Al-Infitâr: 6-8)

-Proceed then on the road to happiness in this world and the Hereafter by living according to the wisdom behind your creation. It is then that you will be satisfied with your life, and feel content and be happy when you meet your Lord after death.
