What indication do you have that the company has turned a blind eye to his postings, and given that "good moral standards" are in the eye of the beholder, can a company be expected to monitor its staff's social media? Have you made the company aware of your findings? I have seen employees fired for racial comments made online.

As a mother of two young children, I try and do everything to protect my
children from the threat of pornography, especially on the internet.
But what hope do we have when some of the people posting pornography in unsuspecting places are the very people controlling and working in the UK's internet industry? Not long ago, a Marketing Manager (I won't mention his name) of UK Internet Service Provider Cityfibre Entanet was using a KTM motorcycle online forum, not to discuss motorcycles but to display his collection of degrading pornographic images. Unfortunately for him he'd forgotten (or just didn't care) that someone had asked on the same forum what he did for a living, so he proudly stated his position of Marketing Manager for Cityfibre Entanet and even provided a link to the company's website. Unbelievably, his company seem happy to turn a blind eye to his behaviour and he maintains his position. Cityfibre Entanet has been awarded government contracts to lay the infrastructure for the UK's fibre optic network, so is partially funded by the UK tax payers. Surely they should be setting an example and while making profits, should also ensure the executives they employ have good moral standards! |
