No Christian would argue that God is not our Savior.  It is up to him how he does it and through whom he accomplishes it.  "Salvation is through the Jews," Jesus said.

Greetings Alibaba.

Your question assumes that you must be damned. This would be sumperimposing a western, Christological view onto Islam. I feel a more accurate question would be: Is there original sin?

Islam does not assume we live in some state of evil, or that the nature of the physical universe is inherently evil.

Islam can lead you to a path that is close to Gd, and show you how to discern from right and wrong, and how to seek His favor when you fall into error.

Bismillah,

Allahu Akbar!  Allahu Akbar!  Allahu Akbar!

Dear Sister Danty,

He was an angel.

I have heard people say this and I have heard people say that he was a Jinn supported by the fact that angels always, without a will of their own, obey our Loving, Merciful, Great Lord, the One, The Only God, who never took human form and does not have flesh children, only spiritual ones.

Ameen.  Peace.

Al-Hamdulillah (From a Married Muslimah) La Howla Wa La Quwata Illa BiLLah - There is no Effort or Power except with Allah's Will.

Dear Alibaba,
Yes, you can know the Almighty Allah. Read the Quran! Every word is Allah's word. Only He knows who will go to heaven or hell. Judge yourself. There was one brother who was very concerned about what he did in life and made a list of his deeds throughtout his life. I am not saying to do that, just don't do anything that you will regret the rest of your life. And No, Allah wants you to stay away from hell. You think He wants everyone to do bad deeds. NO! Have you read about when Satan was kicked out of the heavens? He was an angel before he became evil. It was satan's choice to not bow down to Allah(SWAT). You should have fear in the One that created this universe. If you have taqwa or fear of God, You would stay away from the bad things in life. And lastly, your children will go by your example. Eventually, when they will become adults, they will voice their own opinions on who they are afraid of.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "Be kind, for whenever kindness becomes part of something, it beautifies it.Whenever it is taken from something, it leaves it tarnished." (IMAM BUKHARI)

Is it possible to know God?  I mean, is it possible to really understand Him.  How do we know he loves us?  Can I be sure I will not die and go to hell?  Does God want us to live always in fear of going to hell?  I wouldn't want my children to always be afraid of me.
