Wonderful effort bro DigitalStorm82, and bro superme. I really appreciate your efforts to respond with direct answers to the questions raised rather than attacking, as some have responded, on the intentions of the questioner. May Allah bless you all. Amin.

The Belief in Allah is that you
should believe that Allah is the Sole Creator
Sustainer Provider and the One in Whose Hand is the
disposal of all
affairs. Everything stands in need of Him, but He
stands in need of none. He is the Only One who is worthy of being worshipped. He has the Best Names and Perfect Attributes. Uniqueness of the Essence of Allah
2. Allah, Glory be to Him, is on His throne, mounting it in the manner which
suits His Majesty, as He described Himself in seven different ayat (verses) (2) 2 Qur'an 7.54, 10.3, 13.2, 20.5, 25.59, 32.4, 57.4. 3. Allah is "the First", before Whom there is none, and "the
Last" after Whom there is none, and "the Predominant" above Whom
there is none, and "the Internal" nearer than Whom there is none, (3)
and all of His attributes are ever eternal, with neither a beginning nor an
end. 3 Qur'an 57.3 4. The essence of Allah, the Exalted does not resemble that of any of His
creatures, as verified in the ayah: "There is none like unto Him, and He
is the Hearer the Seer." (4). He is the One, the Sole, the Indivisible. He
is the Lord without Whom no affairs are accomplished and to Whom Lordship
ultimately pertains. He neither begets nor is begotten. There is none equal to
Him. (5) 4 Qur'an 42.11 5. Allah never indwells in any of his creatures nor do they indwell in Him.
All other than Him are created by His ordinance and are subservient to His will.
Allah is the omniscient, Whose knowledge comprehends in the most perfect
manner all things, hidden or open, the small and the great(3). Nothing is
absent from His knowledge, nor anything is hidden from Him even if it be the
weight of the smallest ant(4). Whether at rest or in motion, the state of
things is known to Him prior to and during its occurrance. He is neither
'heedless nor is He errant(5) 3- cf. Qur'an 76.14 Allah the Glorified is the Compassionate, the Merciful Whose mercy
encompasses all things. He is far removed from injustice or tyranny(6). 6- Qur'an 18.49 Allah is well acquainted with internal and external affairs of all things,
and is All-Wise. He is free from defect or imperfection. There is no
incongruity nor any unsoundness in His judgment(7). Nothing He chooses is in
vain, nor is there anything not under His control. 7- Qur'an 21.16 Allah the Most High speaks to his slaves as He wishes(9). He descends and
comes closer to His slaves as He wills(10). He has a face(11), a hand(12) a
leg(13) and a foot(14). Yet none of the attributes of His essence resembles
those of human beings. 9- "And to Moses
Allah spoke direct" 4.164 Abu Hurairah narrated:
"Allah's Apostle said: Every night when it is the last third of the night,
our Lord, the Supreme, the Blessed descends to the nearest heaven and says: 'Is
there anyone to invoke Me that I may respond to his invocation? Is there anyone
to ask Me that I may grant his request? Is there anyone asking My forgiveness
so that I may forgive him?'" Bukhari Vol IX, p 435. Allah, Praise be to Him, is the Omnipotent, and there is nothing to
frustrate His power or ability to attain or accomplish anything, nor does the
preservation of the heavens and earth burden Him(15). There is no strength nor
power to do anything except by means of Him. 15- cf. Qur'an: 2.255 Allah the Glorious is far greater than to be encompassed by the knowledge of
His creatures(16), and there is no reign which can surpass His. No one can
praise Allah as well as Allah praises Himself, nor is there any who can
comprehend the essence of Allah as Allah does. 16- "He knows what
is before them and what is behind them, while they cannot encompass Him with
their knowledge." 20.110 Allah shall accept none other than the religion of Islam from angels, jinn
or men(5) Islam is submission to Allah by being obedient to Him, and by making
one's will subservient to His. 5- "If anyone desires a religion
other than Islam never will it be accepted of him and in the Hereafter he will
be among the losers." 3.85 Allah the Most High created jinn and men only to worship Him alone and He
tries them with good and evil by way of probation and thereby tests their
obedience to Him(7).Jinn and men earn good or evil through their choice, yet
neither of them can gain good unless Allah accommodates them and grants them
His help; evil deeds are committed within the framework of Allah's will and
permission and are not a frustration of His will. 7- cf. Quran 21.35 |

from what I understand, the quran decribes God as being both good and evil and changes at his own whim. The question is here who decide what is good and what is evil? To whom these applies? What loss come from evil and what gain come from good? You need to explain this a bit to place both of us so we walk in the same line. Could someone give me clearer understanding of Allah, his character as described in the quran, and who he is? God is there is to it, nothing else exist beside him. We are from him and we return to him. He is also known as the nothingness. Time does not apply to him, there is no past and there is no future. The Qur'an was formed for wide audiences with different backgrounds and different likings. The christian audience, the jews, the pagans, the scientist, the warriors, the hermits and whatever there are out there. The Qur'an addressing the people with childish minds who see God as a seperate being. I don't what picture your mind pictured God, your upbringing determined the outcome. I do not want general opinions without reference please. When someone asks me about God I use my Bible as a reference, and that's what I would like from the Quran. thanks!!! :) There what I mean, you want the answer that is in line with your liking, something that is in line with what is there all along. Babies do not eat apple, the adults do. Edited by superme |

Assalamu Alaikum AK: I said most Muslims... there are always some who dare to be different... Personally I find them tiring. I get enough questions from my family and people on the streets, I don't wanna go looking for trouble.

This is not entierly true. I am a visitor of website created by so called Ali Sina, freedom-faith. Its really funny to see them trying hard to twist Islam. They even make up fake suras and fake translations. |

Cicely: The problem with what you are saying is that most Muslims don't go to these anti-Islamic websites because they are so false and so hateful that we just choose to ignore them. If someone has a specific question that is different, but to just try to address every false accusation made against Islam would be virtually impossible. The Quran never states that God is evil in any way. We believe the Quran is the actual word of God revealed to the Prophet Mohammed by the angel Gabriel. Why would God call Himself evil? The Quran describes God as: the Most Merciful, Most Compassionate, Oft-Forgiving, The Source of Peace, The Protector, The Sustainer, The Bountiful, The Responsive, The Wise, The Loving...all these beautiful attributes plus so much more. Allah Almighty says in a hadith qudsi, "O My servant! If you take one step toward Me, I take ten toward you." God is love, forgiveness, and beauty beyond our comprehension.

"It is important for muslims to know what kinds of claims other religions state about Islam so that they will be able to enlighten or explain their belief to non-believers." Thanks for enlightening us. There are many web sites that defame Islam and Muslims. I hope you are here to listen to what we Muslims actually believe about Islam. Peace |

Im asking about the concept. I need to hear from someone who is familiar with these claims that other religions have made about Islam. Just like there are ideas about Christianity that people get confused because of what they have heard, so there are those about Islam. as a christian who studies my faith regularly, I am able to find answers to general claims that others have made about Christianity. I did not state anything that is foreign to those who understand theology outside of their religion of islam. It is important for muslims to know what kinds of claims other religions state about Islam so that they will be able to enlighten or explain their belief to non-believers. I didn't make these claims up off the top of my head. please do not anwer if you are not familiar with what I mentioned.
