Analysing Verse 56 In Surat Zariyat.

    As-Salaam alaikum,  In chapter 51 of the Holy Qur'an, Surat Zariyat, ayat/verse 56,Allah Ta'ala says :--

  "I CREATED JINN AND MEN ONLY THAT THEY MIGHT WORSHIP ME." (51:56)

 The gloss of "Worship Me" as "Know Me" is found in almost all Sufi commentaries.... because they realize that the pearl of 'knowledge of Me' is contained within the shell of 'Worship of Me.'

 We know Allah Ta'ala from 2 perspectives: knowledge of His Attributes of Beauty and knowledge of His Attributes of Splendor. Each of these 2 has a particular manifestation, and worship embraces both manifestations.
