Hi All,

Geraldine Brooks is an Australian writer who published a wonderful book a few years ago about women in the Islamic world entitled "Nine parts of desire".

She was interviewed on ABC tv last night (in Aust), and I would love you guys to read the transcript, especially the bit towards the end about the Palestinian students. But there are loads of good bits before that as well - she really helps clarify some of the confusion that many of us feel about the latest invasion of Iraq.
