Herjihad.... I thank Heavenly Father everyday for you. And, that does go the same for many of you. Perhaps as a Non-Muslim I do present a contrary viewpoint. But faith is only strengthened when challenged or else we become lazy. Sadly, not all of my non-Muslim cohorts (save a few like Servetus, Angel and David) do not always follow the rules of manners and respect. For those, I do apologize. But, if you did not allow Non-muslims to experience Islam...then how do you expect us to ever understand you. Maryah is right, this place is much like a family. And families have conflict, but in the end, love and general concern for the welfare of all is what drives us on. God bless and kept all of you. Amen. |

I am pleased to have met a dear non-Muslim Sister here at this forum and I thank Allah, The Most Compassionate, for her constantly. Yes, it is Angela! Her's and Maryah's words do make us a bit speechless, at times, like this one. What shall we do with them? |

Salaams, I am pleased to have met a dear non-Muslim Sister here at this forum and I thank Allah, The Most Compassionate, for her constantly. Yes, it is Angela! This is to let you know that I disagree with you. We've both said our opinions. Now, open a debate on this subject in another thread and let Sister Maryah's positive statements stand for the shining, lovely remarks that they are. Jazzak Allah Khayr |

Provocative, yes, but not very useful. Allowing non-Muslims here has resulted in both non-Muslims and Muslims complaining against each other, with little or no constructive dialogue amongst members. This defeats the purpose of allowing non-Muslims to participate in this forum which is to foster better relation between Muslims and non-Muslims. It will be better if Muslims discuss their issues themselves without any external interference. Those Muslims who are interested in entertaining the non-Muslims can individually go to non-Muslim forums to discuss their views. |

As-Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu We are a large family. And really we are quite human. We are are diverse as the lifeforms of the seas, and we have many traits that often clash. Do you know of any siblings of a family that does not have its differences at times? Our feelings get hurt, we worry about some of the hidden meanings behind some of the posts we read, We encounter different interpretaions of the same post and we bicker like children at times. Then, let a troll or a bully try to rattle our cages and we unite on a common cause for the family, and the offender is either subdued or repelled. It is interesting. WE have college grads, stay-at-home moms, college students, professionals, tradesman, and many more, all under one roof. I have great regard for the sisters of the Ummah that call themselves just housewives. If there was a 6th pillars of Islam it would be the "simple house wife". She is the center of her family, and her concentration is on the teachings of Qur'an Sunnah and the other tenets of Islam. I often will tell others of my education, not to brag or intimidate but just to inform so you know where I come from. I envy the stay at home wife her vast knowledge of the teachings, for all my worldly knowledge often gets in the way of understanding the simple message in a ayat or hadith. Too much critical thinking. We pout, we shout we boast, we bicker, we hug, we post but in the end, this is the islamic forum on the internet that is the most thought provoking, allows the most freedom of expression, and is the one I learn the most from. Other forums will often boot you for one out of bounds for one post that they think is taboo, this one doesn't. Jazakallah Khayran for the fabulous mods here, they really have a bunch of kids to deal with at times |
