You can discuss theological issues of sectarian nature in Intra faith section. And entire nation such as Iran should not be held responsible for the actions of those in the leadership position.

What are you talking about? Where did I talk about the "Nation" of Iran??? Clearly and Obviously I was talking about the GOVERNMENT!! When I say USA benefits Iran, I dont mean "American people benefit Iranian people", I mean the GOVERNMENTS.

Why on earth would anyone think I was talking about the people or nation??? Where did you get that idea, are you kidding me?

This is another fallacious reasoning. I asked you in my last post why you started posting on Irans relations with Sunnis in the thread that was basically about the freedom enjoyed by Jews in Iran. You are incorrectly mingling issues of two different threads.

I was talking about the "USA benefits Iran" thread.

this is based on your assumption that I was spreading lies. But if you read my posts you will see that I made many predictions about what Iran, USA and the "new iraqi Government" were going to do, which have come true. If I was lying, why would so many of my predictions come true???

Originally posted by peacemaker peacemaker wrote:

because they are Shiah, and that was exactly my point that while you may think Iran doesnt care about Shiah Sunni, they treat Sunnis worse than Ahlul Kitab and even worse than devil worshippers. I think that is something important for Sunnis to know.

In fact, in Iran anyone who preaches Islam of Ahlus-Sunnah would be imprisoned and in most cases executed. This is important for Sunnis to know so that they would be more careful if they ever travel to Iran.

The guidelines dont define too many posts as "spamming". As I pointed out, they clearly say you cant post repeatedly ONLY IF you have not answered other peoples questions or if the posts are off-topic. Therefor, I was not spamming.

And suppose I was, the guidelines say the moderators should WARN people first. Just why you would close the whole thread blows my mind.

First of all I was talking about the Government, not the "nation".

Secondly, I was precisely trying to make the point that the West is not really against Iran and that the anti-Iran propaganda is fake, just as Iran's anti-America propaganda is fake (which is why westernisation is becoming so popular in Iran while the Government pretends to encourage the opposite).

In no way would my posts help the supposed US propaganda against Iran, because I was saying that USA and Iran are allies. How does that help the USA??? In fact, my posts are read mainly by people living in the West and not much in the middle-east, so.... again, I dont see your point.

Why do you think that you cannot make even a single mistake there? Every human being can be fallible, at times, isnt it?

mistake? I said my posts were APPROPRIATE AND RELEVANT. I didnt say I never made any mistakes in them.

just because you dont agree with my posts doesnt mean you can close or delete them. I dont think the guidelines allow such a thing.

Assalamu Alaikum,

Brother Sawtul Khilafa, I will try to reply to your queries:

"on that thread I did NOT criticize SHIISM, but only IRAN."

You can discuss theological issues of sectarian nature in Intra faith section. And entire nation such as Iran should not be held responsible for the actions of those in the leadership position.

"So you are actually implying that writing against the Government of Iran is against the rules simply because they are Shiah."

This is another fallacious reasoning. I asked you in my last post why you started posting on Irans relations with Sunnis in the thread that was basically about the freedom enjoyed by Jews in Iran. You are incorrectly mingling issues of two different threads.

"Why is it ok to write against all other countries except Iran??? Why is it ok to write against Sunni groups and Governments but somehow it is "inflammatory" to say anything about Iran, even though I always provide clear evidence for everything I say."

Speaking against ANY country by spreading lies and rumour is not allowed; why to even utter such terms as Shia country, Sunni country etc.? You can speak against any injustice committed by any leadership while supporting it with reliable sources; one should, however, do so in the relevant threads.

"Im not asking you to spend a lot of time responding, I asked for one straight answer and instead you went on talking about many different things without being specific."

I appreciate your gesture towards understanding my time. In fact, I felt necessary to make some clarifications because you had made some speculations without evidence. I also preferred to highlight few points . . . as you appeared to me unaware of them.

"All I did was post 3 posts in one thread, that as far as I know is not spamming because the Guideline says it is spamming if you continuously post while you havent answered other peoples questions."

Please read rule # 12: "Spamming of any kind is not allowed. . . ." It is a discussion forum. If others dont reply to you, it doesnt mean that you keep posting the same or different messages repeatedly. Furthermore, if you keep targeting just one nation on a regular basis, that means, knowingly or unknowingly, you serve an agenda against that country especially when, seeing the prevailing climate, an opportune moment is being sought by the war-mongers to attack her.

"Since I had answered every question and my posts were 100% appropriate and relevant, I was not spamming."

Why do you think that you cannot make even a single mistake there? Every human being can be fallible, at times, isnt it?

"So the thread "USA benefits Iran" is neither "inflammatory" nor "spamming". Until you re-open at least that thread, I would continue to seriously doubt your neutrality."

I am sorry that I dont agree with this line of thinking, brother. I think that we should strive to prove our actions as just and fair to Allah in order to win His pleasure for ultimate success.

"You also closed the "is Bush Jewish" thread. I respect your decision there because the thread was going way off topic (though I can show you more than a 100 other threads that have gone even more off topic and have not been closed for some reason...)"

I may agree with you on the presence of "100 other threads that have gone even more off topic." Have we closed all of them? No. Would we close all of them even if we go through them? Perhaps not. That would, in a sense, lock the entire forum. Generally speaking, many factors ( and not just one factor ) are taken into consideration so as to make a decision to ensure the highest level of proficiency in this regard; yes, sometimes just one flagrant violation, for example, a grave personal attack may prompt a threads closure.

Last but not least, If you see that something is wrong somewhere, please report. Due to the large number of active threads at any time, it may not be possible for moderation to see each of them. Your active participation in this respect to report unwanted posts/threads would help the system, insha Allah.

May Allah guide us all.

Peace

Assalmau Alaikum,

Brother Sawtul Khilafa,

I hope that you would respect my time because I really feel short of it at times, and wish that I had more of it. Moreover, it is a blessing of Allah, and I dont want to waste it in any way. . . .

With that said, I would address some issues here, insha Allah, and hope that you would take part in that attentively and intuitively:

Many times we tend to say or do things thinking that that is right, but that is not. I asked you in my first post in this thread as to how you knew that I had deleted that. Your response was:

"you also closed the sawtulvswhisper thread which I had started to Prevent other threads from going off topic (since u Never delete Whisper's off topic posts on my threads)."

Look at your response, brother. You are creating more problems now by saying that no action is ever taken on Whispers violating posts. How do you know that again? Now, you failed to answer my query and created more problems along the lines. The best thing for you was to say that you were sorry that you did that; you see, I politely admitted anyway that I had deleted.

The message is simple: dont speak anything about anyone without evidence; a baseless canard or malicious misrepresentation of any entity is not acceptable here.

You are a senior member, who has been here for more than a year, with more than 450 posts; therefore, you should be aware of guidelines that are in easy-to-understand mode. Anyone with a basic English language proficiency should understand that. If you are not sure about any rules after going through them, please ask one of the moderators to explain to you.

There have been many violations in your postsspam is one of them. You keep coming at Shia-Sunni divide very often in spite of warning thread in Politics section that any inflammatory post will be deleted. See, for example, in the thread where posts were deleted, original topic was posted about freedom enjoyed by Jews in Iran. You get in there, and start posting on how Iran discriminates Sunnis there. What is the relevance? What do you want to achieve with such posts in that thread?

I cannot comment on your intention, but such posts, posted frequently, are likely to cause anarchy here. Shia-Sunni divide requires bridge-building by interaction and dialogueplease take part in intra faith section in order to achieve that noble objective.

Once again, the warning thread in the Politics section should always be kept in mind while posting there. Just because you dont see that a moderator takes action on someones post somewhere doesnt mean that moderator is not doing the job. And it is best not to speculate on such matters since you dont know what is going on behind the screen. Actions are routinely taken on wide ranging issues, and you may not know them.

Issues of personal nature should be discussed and resolved by PMs, and please avoid using the public space to address those private matters.

Threads are closed for variety of reasons: diversions from the main topic, slander and misrepresentation of a fellow member, personal attack, unnecessary argument, discussion going in circles, spam etc. The threads may be closed for one or more reasons where a topic starter may or may not be involved.

In any case, if you have any concern, you are allowed to report respectfully or post in this section appropriately.

Brother, it is in our best interest to comply with guidelines.

May Allah guide us all.

Peace

How do you know who deleted that? Please refrain from saying something without evidence.

Anyway, let me make your job easier. I deleted that due to violation of guidelines.

If this continues, such posts/threads will be deleted further. Nobody will be an exception.

Peacemaker! what a name

Why not explain to him what guidelines he voilated?. Your talk is very scary.  One moderator did to me same before. No explaniation ........follow guidelines. just direct orders!!! I thought you owe to him real explaniation.

BTW, do you guys funded by current Saudi Regime so you adopt their way of doing business: don't ask ........istarih?!!!!!!!  follow the sheikh!!!

Assalamu Alaikum,

Since Brother Sawtul Khilafah started this thread to seek clarification about his concerns, it would be inappropriate to meddle in this thread by you, and let the moderator(s) deal with him. It is also impolite to come in between in this manner.

You were warned couple of times in the past and it was expected that things would be better with you, insha Allah, but it appears that you tend to mock at what was done.

It is not the way believers should interact! In future, please don't interrupt in such issues:

14. The "Comments and Complaints" section is not a discussion forum where all Users may take part. Only the concerned User, with the original complaint (topic starter), and IC Moderators/Administrators should take part in conversations so that the complaint can be appropriately resolved. Besides, if a complaint is also shared by many others, dealing with it would automatically help others as well. For example: If 50 people have the same complaint, responding to the original post of User (topic starter) would obviously address all concerned Users. Moderators should be addressed respectfully and complaints should be made politely.
