Assalamu'Alaikum,

I'm guessing Friday~ Weren't all of the prophets born on a Friday? But now that I've guessed I'll follow it up by checking it with our books here at home.

LOL~br seeks the last answer was shouted out pretty much all at one time...our favorite movie is "The Message" it depicts your question in one of the scenes in the movie.

FYI~for this one I answered by myself if I get a different answer when everyone gets back from the masjid for Asr prayer If I can get back online I'll update it.

JazakAllahuKhair.....

As-salaam alaykum warahamatullah wabarakatuh

Am sorry I wouldn't be able to get a reference, but would use my residual knowledge by answering that"Rasullullah(s.a.w) was borm on a Monday&buried on a Monday.

I have also learnt that fasting on Monday as his Sunnah was because he was born on a Monday. So,please,if anyone could get the references,it would be nice!!!

As'Salamu Alaikum,

Sis Sakeenah, glad to see you.

Sis Aminah, i did not watch "The message" yet. Insha-Allah, shall watch it. I don't refer to any particular site or a book for questions. I frame a question from whatever i read and feel  worth to share.

Regarding the answer to the question, insha-Allah shall answer it by tomorrow. Waiting for FearAllah and ofcourse Sis Alwardah { Sis Alwardah don't you think that the gap of three days is bit wide. Can u make it every alternate day}

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

As'Salamu Alaikum,

It was Monday when Prophet Sallal Lahu alahi wasallam was born. Though there are variations regarding the exact date, but all the scholars agree that it was Monday. As Sis Sakeenah said that Prophet sallal lahualaihi wasallam used fast on Mondays saying that it was the day he was born. I shall insha-Allah, paste that hadith in my next post. Regarding the next part of the question, as when was he buried, it was Wednesday.  It was Monday when his soul departed. Here am pasting it

People entered the room ten by ten. They prayed for the Prophet [pbuh]. The first to pray for him were people of his clan. Then the Emigrants, then the Helpers. Women prayed for him after men. The young were the last to pray. This process took Tuesday long and Wednesday night (i.e. the night which precedes Wednesday morning). Aishah said: "We did not know that the Prophet [pbuh] was being buried till we heard the sound of tools digging the ground at the depth of Wednesday night." [Mukhtasar Seerat Ar-Rasool p.471; Ibn Hisham 2/649-665; Talqeeh Fuhoom Ahl Al-Athar p.38, 39;Rahmat-ul-lil'alameen 1/277-286]

Next Question

"This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." [Al-Qur'an 5:3]

When this verse was revealed, which of the sahabas cried ?

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

Sis Aminah thanks for the offer for the copy of the Cd/ post the full details and I will try and buy it.

Bro Seeks, dont complain about the 3 days break,,,,,,soon I am going to disappear for a whilelike 4 months.

The answer to days question

This Ayat was revealed on the Day of Arafat during the Farewell Hajj and Abu Bakr (Radhi Allahu Anhu) cried.

Salams

Verily your Lord is quick in punishment; yet He is indeed Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful (Surah Al-Anam 6:165)
"Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him is our return" (Surah Baqarah 2: 155)

Assalamu'Alaikum Everyone,

Hmmmnot sure I'll ask the boys when they arrive from the masjid.

But my first thoughts when reading the question would have been AbuBakr(ra) as well, Zaid(ra) or Bilal(ra)

I'll add the boys answers later Insha'Allah.

JazakAllahuKhair
