Wa alaikum salaam warahmatullahi wabarakathuhu,

Ok, prayers inside the Kabah can be done facing any direction. Other cases, I guess when we're somewhere and unable to figure out the direction of the Qiblah or at the diametrically opposite point of the Kabah. Also when in a bedridden state or travelling in a vehicle.....dont know exactly. Choose the correct answer, LOL!

And Seeks, about the phrase - "he is of me and I am of him", its kind of a hyperbole denoting oneness in belief and path. I learnt that besides Ali (ra) and Julaybib (ra), the Prophet (saw) is also reported to have said to the people of Abu Musa al Ashari (ra) that - "they are of me and I am of them. I couldnt trace the hadiths but as far as I know all sunni schools accept that [Allah knows best]. Dont get confused by the shias' hullabaloo! They've got some strange interpretations and beliefs.

Next question

There are two cases in which one does n't have to face qiblah {Ka'bah} while offering salah. What are they ?

Wa'alaikumsalaam wa rahmatllahi wa barakatuhu

I think the answer is, in cases of:

1. Jihaad, (all muslims do not pray jamaat at one time, and do so in groups, whilst guarding the other)

2. When one is on transport (like a camel... hadith tells us that once during travel Prophet s.w was on his camel, Qaswa, and she started to walk and forage, and he continued praying. )

I am not sure about Jihaad though  . . . but I also heard that when one is in a new place and doesnt know Qiblah, can pray in any direction.

As Salamu alaikum

Insha Allah everyone is doing well and are in strong Iman. AmeenSmile

I also think when when is inside the Kabah and the second is when one is travelling on camel, plane etc but this applies to Sunnah Salah not the fard.

As Salamu Alaikum

The two cases in which one does n't have to face the Ka'bah are

1.While performing voluntary prayers while riding

2, Praying while having to deal with forced conditions , illness and fear
JazakAllah for your answers.

Next Question

For how many months did muslims offer prayers facing Bayt Al-Maqdis ?

And which was the first prayer offered facing the Kabah ?

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."
