List out the favorings / Blessings of Allah swt over the Jews ?

1. They were blessed with Mann-o-salwa from the sky

2. Allah sent down numerous Prophets that belonged to Bani Israel

3. Allah helped them escape Pharoah, and his tyrannical rule

4. Allah made a covenant with Bani Israel - and that if they followed the Covenant made on thier side, Allah will forgive thier sins and give them Jannah.

5. Despite so many trangressions by the Bani Israel, Allah kept forgiving them and giving them chances to repent and come back to hidayat.

Aas salamu alaikum

I believe that I read that Khalid bin al Waleed was serving as a leader of the Muslim forces and went on Hajj without letting anyone know.  However he was seen during his Hajj and was found out.

Walaikum Salam wa Rahmatullah

After many days,br. Duane ! Glad to see you active and JazakAllah for answering. I had a doubt, alhamdullilah, its clarified, but why don't we members discuss it here, if its compulsory to let know of friends and relatives,  about our journey to hajj ? Like, here, Khalid bin Waleed RA, did not let know anyone ---

Thanks for the welcome.  I have not been able to answer or even guess at the last few questions but I do come here and follow the topics.

I have no knowledge of having to tell someone or not that you intend to journey for Hajj.  I am interested in this also.  I have not gone on Hajj yet and would benefit from this discussion.

I am not sure about the lighting of candles in the Holy Mosque, but I believe that the first person to place two doors in the Holy Mosque was Abdullah ibn az-Zubayr.
I am not aware that he ever became Caliph or not.  I would like to know more.
