As Salamu Alaikum

JazakAllah for the attempt, br. Duane. Can you let me know, where you read about Abdullah ibn Zubayr RA, placing doors !

Regarding lighting of candles,, while i posted the question, i knew it as Umar RA, but now when i referred for the sources it gives a different name of sahaba. Earlier i thought it was Umar RA, when he conquered Jerusalem. Anyways the answer is,

Tameem Daari (radi Allahu anhu) was the first person who sent his slave, Fateh, to light a candle in Masjid-e-Nabawi. Due to this act, the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) changed his name to "Siraaj"

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

Regarding, hajj declaration, i learnt that there;s nothing wrong if we let know else about our Journey. Infact it may be a kind of dawah, it may inspire others to also start for such holy journey. Yes, we need to be very careful of our intention that no kind of Riya {Show-off } shud be there.

We had detailed discussion of hajj in Part - 1 {last pages , may be in 80s} If possible  go thru them. Insha Allah, very soon we will discuss about history of Madinah after few days. One who goes for hajj, visits Madinah as well.

Coming to our next question

Who said these words, " I am in charge of you but I am not the best of you"

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

http://www.soundvision.com/Info/hajj/kaba.asp This is the place I found the information.  As for the accuracy of this site I cannot say.  It is almost exactly in the middle of the page.

Wa'alaikum salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

I think it was Hazrat Bilal (R.A) who killed Ummayah bin Khalaf at the battle of Badr.

As Salamu Alaikum

JazakAllah for the answer.

It was Bilal RA, who killed his Master {who tortured Bilal RA very much for being a mulism}  during the battle.
