The Renewal of Islam

In the name of Allah

The word Islam means to submit to the will of Allah, some call Him by other names, Creator, God, Jehovah or by other names. To me I believe the meaning of the word applies to us all and therefore we are all Muslims or "One who submits".

We all do this in degrees, some of us 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% - 80%, 90%, 99.5% and we all follow these basic tenants of Faith Building.

1. Education

2. Prayer

3.  Counseling

4. Consultation

5. Giving Charity

6. Living Prayers (ie. Guiding someone with anger management problems to counseling)

7.  Making a Pilgrimage to the world begining with one of these, Self, Family, Friends, Community, Nation, World or to a place of Spiritual Significance.  While making this pilgrimage considering what we each can do to improve ourselves and the situation of others and the Environment.  Doing so helps us find a place of no Sorrow.

8.  Working on Jihad of which the first level is Self.

In Islam, Allah has set many paths for return to Him the main one is submission to His will like doing things like guiding and providing people with healthier choices and coping strategies that can help us have a calm frame of mind with good behaviors and actions.

This means that all Spiritual paths have a place in Islam and the worldfor they and all beings belong under the Ummah of Islam.

One might also call this process (Islam) by another term such as Faith.  When Islam is Manifested in a People faced with challenges they will seek education, counseling, consultation, prayer and living prayers to resolve their difficulties and challenges.  Calling on Community Agencies helps build Faith in ourselves and others especially if the information or knowledge shared is well presented and researched.  This gives us Dignity.

Dignity is a key to end some of the anger and violence and allows people to share in the benefits of a healthier and wiser Community and Nation..........
