   salaamz..
i had this question in my head like 4ever now!!
u no how people say that all kafer's will go to hell.but when a baby is born and there parents teach them just 1 religion(which is the reglion hindu)..and as the baby grows how is it his/her fault that he never had a chance to learn about islam..
people tell me that itz there job to learn about it...but do we learn about other religions?

	Assalamu Alaikum, This is my understanding, if a person is not taught about Islam or is taught negative things about Islam, they are not held accountable for not knowing. However it is everyone's duty to research and find out what the truth is. There are so many circumstances where a person could and could not have the ability to find the truth, Allah(swt) only knows and He knows best. Can someone define 'Kafir'? My understanding is a kafir is a person who has knowledge of the truth and then denies it. I can't see how a person who has no knowledge is equivelant to a person who denies the knowledge. Lehua

	An urdu poet once said,'You cant call people as 'Kafir' when you have not told & invied them towards Islam'. (ie, only when they deny the message of truth can they be held accountable so as to be called kafir.This said, we should still be VERY careful in calling a person a 'kafir', as Allah(swt) knows best.) Coming back to the question, sister has given us an example that the boy is from Hindu family.I have lots of Hindu friends, and I dont see WHY hindus should not convert to Islam.Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) is clearly mentioned in here holy scriptures(with name).Not only that, but it is clearly written that he will be the last(antim) prophet.There r several signs also; like he will be a camel riding rishi(indicating desert area).So if a hindu boy grows up, he will read Vedas, and when he will read these signs, tell me, what is going to stop him from converting? Irony is that mostly they ignore there religious book and enjoy life. If the boy die young, no idea, wallahu aalam. Regards, Dayem.
