The most pressing question is: why is the environmental downfall worsening and how do we stop it?
This topic is something I am involved in debating elsewhere. The bottom line is that the predicted problems involved are minor. They will cost less than is spent on traffic lights to sort out. Don't worry, it's a we are all doomed fixation amongst st**id spoiled western *****s who have no sense of perspective. |

Salams,
Here is my translation of the first few paragraphs from a BBC Arabic news article. Climate Change "An Actual Reality": Are We Saving Our Beautiful Planet? There is much talk about the danger which strikes humanity because of changes to the climate, whose manifestations have become a tangible reality all over our earthly planet. The latest signals of the danger, whose voice echoed at the Bali conference in Indonesia in late 2007, came from the United Nations committee on climate change . The conference stressed that the evidence for climate change is "unequivocal" and warned of great environmental consequences if "swift measures" aren't taken to avert the danger. The most pressing question is: why is the environmental downfall worsening and how do we stop it? The reason - as scientists believe - is that we, the inhabitants of this planet, began consuming the resources of our planet over the last two decades at unprecedented rates. Industrial complexes and energy companies in the world, especially in the major countries, invest astronomical amounts of money in mega projects. Conventional fuel, or what is known as "fossil fuel", still forms the main source of energy. What's more, it will remain a main source of energy for some time to come, as it meets around 80% of the current need. Edited by 123ab - 30 December 2014 at 11:03am |

Historians draw a link between the rise of football and the industrial revolution with what makes of the former a game that suits modern times as it involves democratic rivalry based on competence. As the players successfulness is a reflection of his individual skilljust as it is a game played as a group and is not marred by speciality and unified workthen every player has a role in accomplishing the intended goal and each role has something that complements other roles. If a player, in the sense of his being a part of the whole, represents with his moderate posture a physical action involving the muscles, then there is also with it a mental work which gives the game its necessary foundations. Thus there is the management, which supervises the team, whose thoughts are on winning and excelling or on a good workmanship that pleases the football community. There is also the referee who is a modern judge ensuring fairness and equality by relying on objective rules that were set by others. He is the orchestrator who watches over the game as though he were another player; he physically represents the order (of the game) and combines order with play whilst revealing a practical mentality that creates the active whole from well-trained parts that think sensibly.
