Heart braking and of superior knowledge and wisdom.

Exactly what a heartless atheist would say. :)

Personally, I can't imagine a more meaningless existence than to be a slave of an omnipotent Being who obviously doesn't need slaves.  Far better to serve humanity, i.e. people, most of whom need all the help they can get.

Are you talking about scientists or theologians?

But you're wrong, as I've told you before.  Scientists don't simply repeat what they read in books.  To get a PhD in science, you need to present a thesis containing original research which at least expands or builds upon existing knowledge.  And if it challenges or questions what they read in their books (which it frequently does), then so much the better.

What's wrong with this picture?

Your hero Carl Sagan and all the others were working on the theory that the earth is a globe. Their reasoning falls down once you accept that the eart is flat.

A few years ago Carl Sagan did an entertaining piece on tv where he was travelling through space in a space ship.

Carl Sagan misses the point,
the precise reason we need God, the reason we have God.
Things aren't determined by our wisdom... our courage,
but by the wisdom to follow His Wisdom, and receive His courage.
It is God that does give us our purpose, and defines our purpose,
at least in the Christian way, for what our God teaches us is to do just that... to care for humanity... to love Him enough to love one another.

Proverbs 2

1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee

Greetings Abu Loren,

Am I missing something?  You're not serious are you?  You are aware that we have seen our planet from space and that it is indeed round?

asalaam,

Satan has deceived this world for the past 500 years by making mankind believe that the earth is a globe and that we live in a heliocentric universe. The opposite of this true. so people like Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Sagan, Hawking et all are wrong. They were working on a theory anyway. Not proof.

The photo you are talking about is faked. I tend to believe the flat earthers now and they have very good explanations of these things in youtube.

As a side note, have you all considered the oceans? The amount of water in the oceans and rivers will not hold securely on a globe earth, no matter the explanation of gravity. Water ALWAYS trickle down to the lowest point, so if the earth was a globe all the water would be concentrated down south. Water or any liquid for that matter always are stable on a flat surface or it 'falls'.
