Wa alaikum salaam,
How was it scammed? How did you come to know it was stolen? |

The seller had informed me that he bought the product but never paid for it, which is scammed.
He said he will sell to me for cheaper than normal prices |

There seems to be a contradiction in terms here. Perhaps you mean he ordered the product and now has a debt owed to the vendor. Why would this be your concern?

Asalam Alaykum
The reason it might be wrong is simply that we as Muslims strive for a higher guideline... There is no information on whether a debt is owed ( you inserted your opinion, instead of seeking clarification). The original statement was a concern the product was scammed or stolen. the original poster needs to answer a few more question.... but in America we have a saying "if it looks like a duck..... it is likely a duck" Edited by rmujaahida - 24 May 2016 at 2:39am |

I think this is haram. Logical reason being that anyone who buys from a thief encourages the thief to continue with the act of stealing, which we all know is Haram.
